Life changing Tomato soup pro tip incoming-

Take your standard canned/boxed tomato soup and add like half a log of goat cheese when you start to heat it. This makes it super creamy and rich.

Then right before you take it off the stove add a splash or two of balsamic vinegar.
Sounds great. The HiLo has an app called goat sticks that is their breadsticks with marinara topped with goat cheese for dip and it is fantastic. Several years ago I got super baked and ate an entire order (owner informed me its a pound of dough).

Went to The Majestic on Saturday night.  Great steak.  Fun experience as a whole.

Did you go downstairs for the jazz or upstairs and listen to Sean the bartender make fun of everybody's drink order?
This guy sounds like he sucks

Aggieville brewing company.. have ate there haven’t had beers there yet. Hope the beers are good……

Beer is good. Was underwhelmed by the food but I went during the soft opening so will probably get better with time.

Tried new Mexican restaurant in the old Gumby's/Doughboy's/Bi Bim Bap space. Was not impressed at all. Was pricey and did not get full from entree (which is insane to say about food at a Tex-Mex restaurant).

Haven't tried Parkside Station yet but it looks great and have heard good things.

last summer I would walk to betty rae's over lunch like once a week and get an affogato. it's a spaceship to another dimension of afternoon productivity
You should try speed.

i should clarify, the productivity is merely a byproduct.
I stand by what I said.

Sorry if it's already been posted, but Culvers opened end of Jan. Drive Thru line is finally slowing down a bit. Was stupid busy for a while
This town loves its mediocre chain restaurants.

Last week I was craving some better than super market quality ice cream and had never been to bettie raes so I got 3 pints. Chocolate chip cookie dough, cinnamon, and the coffee flavor. All are exceptional, this place definitely lives up to the reputation 7/7
Take it to the ice cream thread.

I technically didn't start until Jan. 2nd so I'm going for one more day.

Friday dinner: big Walmart microwave beef and bean burrito with a side of deli mac n cheese.

Saturday lunch: quarter pounder with cheese, large fry, sweet tea

Saturday dinner: Arby's beef n cheddar and Celsius mango

Might need a blood transfusion today.
Celsius with dinner? You're psychotic

Today I tripped stepping up on an 15” riser & fell forward. I landed on my hands & caught myself, but I felt a pain shoot through both my shoulders I’ve never felt before.
I slipped and fell on some ice back in early December. My left wrist is still a little sore. You'll probably never recover FYI

I freaking love this team.

And we have a player capable of going for 16 pts and 9 boards on the road at Baylor who has just been hanging out on the bench for 19 games??? Incredible depth on this team.
Her Jermaine Maybank moment but we actually won the game.

To be absolutely fair, I think she was utterly surprised by it, and maybe yes some training kicked it but it was very last second and more people will in a surprise hit look like that than not.
I disagree. When I saw it at full speed I was skeptical but when it's slowed down it looks even more sus. I think she initiated the contact. She extends her arms and pushes the fan in anticipation even.

Pretty low class to not even inquire about whether or not the OSU fan was ok.

Halftime adjustments on D by Spags were good. Was so frustrating in the first half to see them run for 7 yards every first down.

Also I didn't love seeing all the Chiefs waving goodbye to the Bills fans. I'm sure they were talking trash all game, but like, cmon. That fanbase has suffered enough. Who cares if they threw snow at you.
Nah, eff 'em. I love the idea of how much they must hate the Chiefs.

If 5th year Will can't beat out a kid who has literally never taken a college snap then he was never going to make the NFL.  I'd still put him as the heavy favorite to be the starter in 24
Didn't he leave K-State because he couldn't beat out a kid who had only taken a few...?

I wasn't there, and it has been 13 years, but the win over Texas was the loudest I've ever heard the place (non-KU).

JANUARY 18, 2010 — 71-62 OVER NO. 1 TEXAS

Pete and I had a vuvuzela in Sec. 17.

That was a great game, I think I was able to get in the 6th row of the student section

I court stormed, stepped on a folding chair, it folded, I went down in the storm.  Struggled to my feet and ran right into weird robert.  This is all on a hilarious iphone video

I'm calling cap. We didn't rush the floor after we beat #1 Texas. It was like, a whole thing.
ESPN even mentioned it on Sportscenter that night because there had been dozens of court stormings that year.

If only there was some way of knowing…

Ah, yes, that was the birth of the "We Own Texas" chant and Bob Knight suggesting we chant "Thank you, good game" instead.

Guys, here's a quote I wrote down from last night when I went to the passing the torch ceremony for this.

"Every once in a while, someone new comes along to challenge the throne.  With Jordan, it was Kobe and now Lebron.  With Joe Montana it was Tom Brady.  I am a bit sad to relinquish my honor as long-standing AGGIEVILLE CREEPSTER OF THE YEAR, but I am humbled to be dethroned by a creepster whose creep-dentials are so solid that he could overtake even MY horrifically unethical actions.  Ladies and Gentlemen, there's a new kid in town, and I am proud to present to you.....TIM FITZGERALD!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Edit to say ESPN mentioned that we elected to not storm the court*

Just got back from a freaking fun night at the 'gon.

So happy for Coach Tang and proud of the team for gutting out the win despite not doing all the things they needed to do to win.

We really need to to run more efficient half court offense. Dribbling out the shot clock only to have Perry take a stepback three with a 6'5" guy in his face is terrible offense. Cam and Kaluma are capable of slashing to the basket. Got to run offense where all five guys are a somewhat credible threat to score.
Rate the crowd. On the tube, it sounded insame at times and one of better ones in recent years, certainly for a non-KU crowd on a weeknight.
6.5/10

mrs meow brought home some na ipas (not by my request).  she said she had a good sam adam's one at a restaurant with her mom so she found some others at the store, but said these sucked.  tried it, it had a weird aftertaste, but maybe just specific to this particular one.  anyway, will be interesting to see what happens once february rolls around, do i go back to do whatever, have some drinks just on the weeks, just a couple beers?  we'll see!

I really liked the Athletic IPAs, those are pretty good (assuming it wasn't those). The Boulevard flying starts are ok, but not great.
Athletic Brewing has a few different craft non-alcs that are solid. Corona and Guinness each have a decent NA. It's definitely a growing category. The days of Odouls are in the past.
