kid in there?

I hope it comes with a kid or two if you're paying $16,000 for a pillow.

How many babies do you think they fit in a pillow?

I keep seeing reports that Jones was attempting to deescalate the situation.  Am I missing that in the video?  To me it looks like he was being a big bad football bully with the mentality of his actions not having consequences.  I assume media/OU tried to protect him.

Also, I think the MMA dudes should have consequences for not stopping after they were clearly winning the rumble.  I think that falls under the category of excessive force or something.

You're hearing reports of Jones saying that he was attempting to deescalate the situation. He, the dude in the jean jacket and turtleneck, clearly instigated what happened in that video. Saying "look at me bitch" then shoving the dude, clearly isn't an attempt to deescalate. Also given the dude has a bloody nose before he proceeds to beat the crap out of Jones' buddy, I'm guessing that before the video was started either Jones or his buddy punched the MMA dude.

Also I didn't see anything in that video that constituted excessive, but I also didn't see anything that would lead me to think that Jones was in danger of losing an eye. So either he's lying about that too, or the ass beating continued after the video stopped.

A doctor had to reconstruct his orbital socket.

I'm digging Snowpiercer show. I just took a little while to get over the voice of Thomas Jefferson

Have you seen the movie? I thought it was good but haven't tried the show.

Watched the first Ep of the Flight Attendant. Don't know yet. Got dark pretty quick and a bit silly. Mrs. SF wasn't that into it so we will see if we continue.

I bailed after the first one.  Watching some stressed out anxious alcoholic gal make horrible decisions <> fun.

I enjoyed it  :dubious:

Christopher Bell has entered the chat.

Crazy ending to the road course race. I cackled at least 3 times in the last 15 laps. Sad the Elliot didn't make it to the end but glad Logano didn't win.

Chase Briscoe lost his hood!

They play again this morning. About to get revenge vs Gonzaga!

EFF THE ZAGS, I hope they beat them big time. I'll have the game on the radio while WingFH today

Wow, I didn't realize they were playing at the Royals spring training facility.

I don't see the Blue Heeler colors in that pup. I think Tom went with a regular Corgi.

Since you were thinking about "Pulling the trigger" maybe you could name it after wildcat legend Jacob Pullen?

Or since it's part Corgi go with some Royalty name like henry/phillip/william etc

Yes, I prefer people names for pets.

I feel like this is a good win, but I'm only saying that because we played Oregon St. in the playoffs one time a long time ago.

It bothers me a lot more at the college level and above than it does at the high school level and below. I would have a very difficult time taking an olympic record set by a transgender woman seriously.
I mean we still count the records that were set in swimming when everyone was literally wearing performance enhancing equipment in 2008. I don’t fully understand the argument unless you’re calling for everyone to do the events naked and use similar equipment as they did when each event was introduced (which TO BE FAIR I do think would be badass).

We don't count records for people caught using steroids, and I view it more similarly to that.

Athletes have been cheating forever. It wasn't a baseball thing that only lasted for a decade.

This is why I think that nothing should be done on the loan issue until the figure out the long term function and how that will change.

College has just become too damn expensive.  I have heard a lot of arguments about it becoming so due to the fact that cheap loans and subsidies are a thing.  That partly makes sense to me, but I can also see how turning that tap off could be worse than having expensive college.

I don't think he should make a move on it unless they need to bolster the economy immediately, or until they figure out what will happen regarding loans, cost, or subsidies next.

College has become more expensive because states and the federal government fund higher ed at a fraction of what they used to. The costs of running a university has been placed on the student body.

Maybe I should just keep HBO MAX.  How many streaming services do you guys have?  I already have Netlix, HULU, and Disney+.  I feel like 4 is too many.  Maybe I should keep HBO MAX and get rid of Disney+.  Although the kids and I just started watching the Mandalorian.  That's the problem, there are like 1 or 2 shows on each that I like.  Someday you should just be able to pick and choose the specific SHOWS that you want and package them into a service and you pay like per show or whatever.  IDK.

It's not like any of them have contracts. No reason you couldn't just pick them up and drop them whenever the show you like gets a new season.

what has happened in the past is I would start a season of an HBO series on a flight or something and then subscribe for a month or two to finish or until I got bored with other stuff. I haven't had HBO Max but it seems like a huge improvement from what it was.

My folks get HBO over the winter since they're inside more.

The larger point is the belief that we are constantly getting our asses kicked in recruiting is stupid, especially given we just landed the second highest profile high school recruit in high school history.

Unless there is anyone who can point to something specifically this kid has said that our staff screwed up, melting down about some three star tweener, guy has like four different positions listed, from Lansing who we actually offered and recruited , is really stupid. I get the meltdowns when we were losing kids we were barely recruiting, I did it for years. Hopefully Breece Hall is the last in state kid we can lose our crap over not landing because the staff didn't try hard enough. Those people at KSO, and frankly some here, need to understand that just because the staff really wants a kid, and we really love K-State, doesn't mean that they are going to end up here. I spent mu whole life convinced that I was going to OU, a girl is the reason I ended up at K-State and it turned out to be the second best thing that ever happened to me. If that girl wanted to go to Pitt St., I was going to Pitt St.

Acting like this or any staff are failures because they unsuccessfully tried to get a 17 year old kid to go somewhere is really clownish.

They are doing a phenomenal job finding lightly recruited talent that goes under the radar and getting fantastic production out of them early.

(Vaughn, Portier, Duke are already proven. Warner, Mozee , Aniduke have been mentioned as likely to impress this year) also Devrin Weathers appears to be a really solid pickup for 2021

Outside of Rubley they have gotten their ballsacks tazed off for virtually all their top targets.

2020 Turner Corcoran, Hayden Pauls, Ky Thomas, Daniel Jackson , Sayvion Williams, Ersery, Alex Conn, Jacob Gamble , Yahya Black , Lanell Carr, Korie Black

2021  Devin Neal, Jaylin Noel, Brody Brecht, Thomas Fidone, Beau Stephens, Tyler Maro, Arden Walker , Seth Malcom , Myles Purchase, Matthew Langlois, Beau Freyler

Personally, I've felt he's going to have to establish himself for a few years before the in-state guys become expected commits. He had an excellent first year, but it'd still be difficult for me to get excited about a guy from North Dakota after a year.
