I'm going to steal this from Super70sSports but he was the master of toothpick coolness. Also a Royals baseball academy grad.

I'm looking at getting a bike and am seeking advice on what to look for. I used to bike a lot but only used a beach cruiser to get around. I was travelling 2-4 miles a couple times on a good week. Now I'm near a 17 mile, flat, paved trail and I think I'll want to go more than 2 miles at a time. As a newb, what's a good cheap bike to seek out on Facebook marketplace or a used bike shop? I'm looking at spending $200-$300.Specialized Sirrus or Kona Dew or whatever Trek’s equivalent model is called would be great for something like this.

i've seen border collie x pyrenees crosses before. neat looking animals, but i think the conflicting instincts/energy levels could make for a problematic dog.How far can a drone that is available to a median cow farmer fly?
i follow a guy on twitter who's posted some drone vids of using drones to check cattle that opened my eyes to ag drone use.
Could you buy a helicopter type drone with a live feed camera for say $1000 that has a 5ish mile range?
I honestly have no idea but I assume the tech is going to continue to get cheaper and more accessible.
Setting aside abortion or whatever he has in mind, what is the rationale for thinking we need more kids?
Or split the difference and move to part time work at some point. I’m not sure if/when I’ll fully retire but I’m planning to be done with full time work in about 5-8 years.I just did the math and I’d have to beat inflation by 12.5% each year to hit my desired number in 6 years.most people in Pete's economic demographic over save for retirement. counterpoint like 50% of the population has zero savings for retirement.
I think our guy Pete should leave his job in 6 years or less.
Just drop the number a bit. Time is the one thing you can never get more of.
Dude! A couple people where I work have done that lately and I just learned that they still get full benefits. I am totally going to go after that at some point, assuming I do not get crap canned before then.
How much would you have to make in order to live in Alaska?

I'm surprised by the lack of talk around True Detective this season. I've enjoyed this season but there's a lot riding on tonight's finale. I feel like there's been a lot of build up with little to show for it so far so we'll see how they handle it tonight.
Probably because it's rough ridin' terrible. Legit one of the biggest pieces of crap hbo has ever put out.
Curb has been really good, the angle this season is fantastic. The new curb rewatch podcast with Jeff and Suzie is a good reason to either restart curb or start it for the first time and follow along with the podcast. The very first episode of the series, The Pants Tent, was as funny as a 30 minutes of programming that I can remember in some time.
KC people crack me up.
It’s a great economy if you’re a baby boomer with a lot of assets, it’s horrible for anyone who wants to acquire assets at a reasonable price. So it’s bad for like 95% of the population (really, closer to 99 but I’ll be generous).
Paul Krugman is an absolute #blueanon shill who refuses to tear into the real numbers.
