Kansas State Football / Re: It's Chip Kelly!!!

Head Coach, Brent Venables, with Coordinators Chip Kelly and Jim Leavitt?

Yeah, I guess that could work.

There will be a lot of this, if this all goes down the way many of us fantasize that it will.

Ole Miss is literally named for what slaves would call the wife of the slave owner, and Arkansas is #1 on the list.  Let than sink in.

Ol' Mizzou just had an infamous student outcry for it's racially insensitive culture, and they're #4 on the list. Let that sink in.

I did a search for "ku memorial stadium gridiron club", and I found this 2009 article about the proposed addition to the East side. This must be different than the building that gets pounded by extra points. Have they broken ground on the expansion proposed in 2009?

63. Kansas Jayhawks

In short, this is a tough, tough place to recruit. KU has an identity as a basketball school that has been hard for recruits to shake, has no football tradition in comparison to its Big 12 competition, and has one of the worst home stadiums in the Power 5. There are multiple battles to fight on the road to recruiting relevance here.

my tailgate motto?  if you've never chugged brews from a hammer throw/discus cage, you really haven't tailgated.

We have a tailgate culture at KU.  Only difference between KU and Alabama is at Alabama, fans leave the tailgate to go watch the game at kick-off and don't return until the game is over.

Were you guys aware of how awesome KU's tailgate culture is?  On par with Alabama, and most certainly better than KSU I'm guessing.

It sounds like a terrible excuse for low attendance. As though these amazing tailgates are keeping tens of thousands of people just outside the stadium.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Graham Gochneaur won a matchup of backup
quarterbacks to give Marshall its first victory over a ranked
major-college opponent.

Much as I want to bag on Bulimia, it's hard to pin that Marshall loss on the defense.

It still hurts. I know. I'm here for you. Just think we could have given Darren Sproles more touches than Jeff Schwinn.  :bang:

I can admit when I'm wrong; he is not responsible for lateral to Marshall player for TD. Etc. :curse:

Bert would mix drinks in a Coleman cooler and then drink them out of the drain. I once saw him mix a 175 of vodka, 2 liter Sierra mist, and three packets of red Kool aid in a kooler, hoist it up on his shoulder and then walk around a party drinking out of the cooler drain. It was on point

Just curious,  but what happened to the "real" sugar dick?

they should have included an all time long snapper, and it most definitely would have been Mike Wilson.

Adams?

KU football has an average of 1.9 conference wins in the Big 12 ............to lazy to look up Baylor, but pretty sure they are the worst team in the history of the Big 12.

In 20 seasons of Big 12 football, Baylor's average is 2.5 wins and 5.7 losses. KU is at 1.9 wins and 6.4 losses.

By comparison, K-State is 5.1 and 3.1 on average.

18
interesting if true on baylor

Yeah, it's really strange that both averages are so low when every year they play 8-9 conference games.

2.5 + 5.7 = 8.2
1.9 + 6.4 = 8.3

Seems reasonable given the conference has played many more seasons at 8 games than 9, and there's probably some difference attributed to rounding.

I don't think Endzone Funzone is used in an official capacity nor do I think it has in years.

Do you all attend games? It's still used during every home game.

When will we drop the NEZFZ name?

It used to be you had to come up with a campy nickname to get the sadsacks to feel good about their crappy folding chairs sinking into the grass-covered soil below. Now that the facility has been upgraded, drop that ruff ridin' name.

if you've forgotten how nice ku's world class facilities are, then i guess it's time that some of you rewatch this expose on them-

#neverforget

Jerseys of players who have recently "signed" with NFL teams. Harris? Stuckey? Collins? WTF?!

Team meeting room doesn't have theater seating. WTF?!

"Gatorade machines, everywhere!" Dude, it's a refrigerator. WTF?!

A veritable rainbow of loofahs in the shower.... WTF?!

"They've even got an arcade game over here, which is just beautiful." WTF?!

Here in the exam room, they have pictures on the wall. (just like your doctor's exam room) WTF?!

I recognize that we at K-State have only recently upgraded beyond what's here, but that's a very bare-bones, new facility.

What is the difference between les miles and Mack brown
Miles is insanely entertaining?

Great article on what makes Huskers the saddest, most entitled, most delusional fan base in all of sports.

This is the most honest, succinct description of the state of Nebraska football that I've read. Mind you, I've said the same rough-ridin' thing for 10 years.
