Kansas State Football / Re: Insidery info from early 90s

i did walk back into the football locker room during KU week and was reading the "bulletin board" Snyder caught me in there. He politely asked me to not go back there anymore and not to repeat what i read to anyone. He was intimidating but in a respectful sort of way.

Post the article JVKCcat!

(Tell us what you read, please.)

yes, confirmed

really want to know this

He gave Snyds his word you guys!  :shakesfist:

Cone of Silence!!!

I'm sure the "bulletin board" is quite different today than what it was then. Without social media it consisted of different highlighted articles, quotes, notes from coaches, and editorials. However, I do recall there being notes from players on there about what they heard KU players saying, but i dont recall specifics about anything written. Seemed like a big deal back then but a little underwhelming by todays standards im sure.

no, but i know Eric. We are from the same hometown. I wasn't anyone special. rode the bench more often that not. medical redshirt my first year. played a little my sophmore year and ended up transferring to a smaller school.

Kevin Lockett used to wear a Free O.J. tee shirt all the time in the weight room.

Eckler scared the crap out  of me. Guy was nuts during Nebraska week. He shaved parts of his hair off each day and by friday it was shaped as an "N". Would show up in the weight room and rip his shirt off and start lifting in his jeans.

Mitch Running was one of the best dudes on the team. quality guy.

Chad May played baseball with us for a week. Snyder made him quit about three days into the experiment when he couldn't throw a pass in practice because he had blisters on his hands from hitting in the cage.

Safe to assume you know my boy Fereday as well, then?

Sure do. Todd was a good dude and a lot of fun to hang with.

Met another guy last night who swore up and down Chad may asked him the lame $1million arm question.  that story is the worst (I don't doubt he said it at some point).  It shows our fans weren't ready to have potential NFL players on campus.
That guy is full of crap, May used it as a pick up line on the ladies not as way to brag to other dudes

Not True. I was a batcat 92-95. He said it to me in the weight room.

Eric S.?????

4 x 100 in Iowa City aint the 4 x 100 in KC..

Their 2A 4X100 would have placed first in Kansas 2A by more than a second and 4th in 6A for 2012.

we got Kliff'd

 :frown:

(connor wilson)

No worried about Wilson, just as long as we keep Sizelove.
I don't think Wilson was better then Prewett or Adams, he was the slowest of all three.

With two teammates now committed to the Red Raiders, what does this mean for 6-foot-2, 225-pound inside linebacker, Sizelove?

“It kind of sucks just because I was looking forward to playing with him for another four years, but it doesn’t effect me,” Sizelove said at first.

“I’ll try to make it down for a game with Connor and Ian and give it a second look! It would be cool if we could all play at the same place.”

Sadler agreed with Wilson that “it’d be cool if (Sizelove) went to Tech with (them).”

"You wanna touch a million dollars?"

said this exact thing to me in the weight room at Vanier....at first he was a pretty cool guy but quickly turned into a jerk once he started having some success.

4-star Ramirez bringing 4-star Jamone Boyd with him on the visit this weekend.  Also, mystery visitor on offense...me thinks that might be another of Boyd's friends (hint: OL).  That is what my gut has told me since reading it.

I'm saving so much time this week reading the various rankings!  It's a lot quicker when you stop at #1

I stopped at the USC Vs. UCLA game trying to determine who we needed to win.... but then i remembered!! WHO CARES!! :emawkid:

#CUBUFFS Tad Boyle told me about #KState rumors, "Don’t have interest in other jobs. Want to do something special at CU."

More from my chat w/ #CUBUFFS Tad Boyle, "If I’m looking for the next best gig while recruiting, then I’m a hypocrite."

"I'm definitely going to be routing for my guys at Butler and I'm going to be rooting for those 5-seeds -- Arizona, West Virginia, Vanderbilt and Kansas State.," Hayward said. "I really like Kansas State as a 5-seed. They're long and athletic and experienced from last year. They've got a guard in Jacob Pullen that can win games for you down the stretch. So, I like them a lot as a 5-seed."
