That would be Union General and President Ulysses S. Grant?

Left off slave owner

I'm not going to look too much into it, but his wiki page seems to suggest his ties to slavery were pretty weak, with lots of evidence suggesting he supported emancipation (like teabagging the Confederacy). There should be more nuance when peering into the past. If the standard is that recordable history starts at the point where the badges of racism cease to exist in society, then history has yet to begin.

Anyway, I guess I just was unaware that Grant had been cancelled.

You own one fellow human being and they never let you live it down...

You say this, but in 50 years when the vast majority of humans realize how barbaric the practice of imbibing energy drinks was, I hope you're not around to find out for whom the bell tolls. Hint: for thee.

I know everyone made fun of Cuomo's "if it saves one life it's worth it" but honestly if this saves a life it two in MHK, a 14 day football workout pause is probably worth it.

Where's justwin to tell us how much a life is actuarily worth?

that live acoustic is fire

I didn't know (a) who wrote that song, and (b) that it had been covered like 60 times . Might go ahead and learn how to play it on this rainy day.

well hopefully it is mostly impacting young people
Per Arizona's department of health, that is the case.  70% of those infected are below 65 and don't have a chronic medical condition.

Pretty impressive site, actually.

I find it hard to believe that you could find a population in America in which 70% of people don't have "a chronic medical condition."

That's my president

Once she turns 35 it's going to be one helluva ride watching her just absolutely wreck crap on her way to a presidency (and I don't really care for her that much, just goddamn). Maybe she'll try in 2024 (she'll technically be over 35 by Jan 20, 2025), but still. If I could bet on who will be the first female prez (even with whoever Diamond Joe picks as VP and he could pass and could ascend assuming he wins in November), she has got to be in very favorable odds, and I would throw money on it.

Are you interested in a wager?

What’s sentry testing?

Like random testing of everybody to try and sniff it out not just relying on people to self select for testing

Do you mean surveillance?

Condensing unit won’t turn on, repair folks can’t get out until Monday.  :curse:

Going to be a hot sleep.

@IPA4Me if I send you a video of it trying and failing to start, could you diagnose?

I don't know what the weather is like in Chicago, but that would be a big no from me, dawg. Woof.

Fine for false report? OK

Fine for "race-based" false report? Probably not OK under First and Fourteenth Amendments.

Why not just make it a fine for making a false report? Wouldn't that subsume race-based false reports?

I'd be pretty surprised if there isn't already a law on the books for a penalty for filling a false report.

I'm sure it can already be prosecuted, yes. The wording sounded more like a civil citation, like a speeding ticket or something (Imagine showing up to contest your racism ticket and being all like, "But is it really racism???"). But I'm not going to attempt to try to understand what they mean, because SF. Apparently they're also talking about diverting police funds to the black community, calling it reparations. That brings up an interesting question: Is the concept of reparations (in the form of redirecting tax revenues on the basis of race) constitutional? On its face, it would seem the answer is "no," though I don't know who would have standing to sue. I don't think taxpayers can generally challenge such things. Perhaps a police officer whose position is eliminated due to budget cuts tied directly to the loss of those funds, if that could be proven? California laws make my brain hurt.

I'm mostly just procrastinating from work, guys...

That proves that any perceived spike in OK cases after Trump's rally can't be blamed on the rally.
