If you are at all inclined I would encourage you to visit www.found.k-state.edu/memorials/gruber and make a contribution to the memorial fund benefiting the College of Veterinary Medicine. A gift of any size would make a difference.

Also doubled down on an 8 against an 8 for $200. When youre hot, ya know?

:jerk: used my dolla bills for lube.

Wow, lotta people starving for attention in my birthday cake thread. Hey, news flash! You have a birthday every year too.

Nope, I have at least two. And a bachelor party once a year as well.

29
I'm hungry for some Chinese food. Turns out, Hunam's online menu doesn't open until ELEVEN!

30
These cakes (especially 'clams') are exactly what I wanted.

STOP IT, WACKYCAT. THIS IS MY BIRTHDAY CAKE THREAD NOT YOURS!

By "wanted" he means "requested" per a gchat convo about an hour ago.

KKK seems to have accepted the premise that ALL of us want to watch the game in Vegas with him. I know you all say it'd be difficult to find seating for 20 in most sportsbooks.... How about seating 19? TIA

I remember the Nebraska game as a student. Got done with class and just walked over to the tailgates. Smart ones packed beers in their backpacks for the walk over. Dumb ones bummed brews off the smart ones.

All in all, what better way to get through a school day than by knowing that in a few short hours your going to be goin all  :emawkid: with 50,000+ of your closest friends and family. And then you get to sleep in the next day and dont have to worry about feeling bad for missing church because you're too hungover from celebrating the win (unless you go on Saturdays?).

Suck it up students. Campus is dead Friday afternoon anyways.

Now us working people here have every right to be pissed for having to take one of our hard earned days off work to make it to the game.

It's going to take quite a bit of time for me to muster up the courage to ask my boss if I can leave work hours early so I can go drink a thousand beers in a field for five hours before kickoff.

At least I've got a couple months to warm her up to the idea...

mushed the voter people right in their fat face this afternoon.

i don't have time for that nonsense.

Literally mushed a la Nicname to the KU chick in Porter's or figuratively mushed?

I completely forgot about how Nic went out of his way to leave our cozy lil booth to walk across the bar and mush a coed. How great that was before I forgot everything else that night.

The losing candidate is not actually on the website, just most of his friends are.

I'm sure he will express his appreciation for all the great things you guys did for him when he sobers up.

While it took me two years, I have finally sobered up.

I have to admit, I'm a little "put off" with the way the losing candidate has handled himself here at goEMAW. After all the support the goEMAW community gave the Grice/Rauth campaign, I expected Grice to come on here and express his appreciation to all the people that helped him get as far as he did. Some contributed money, while others worked tirelessly on the "trail" — a journey that almost ended with a trip to the Oval Office of Student Activities and Services.

In the end, Grice fell just short. Only 600 votes.

But for those of us who invested so much into this campaign — our love, our blood, our sweat, our tears, our prayers — to now have to sit here and absorb this defeat, alone, without at least a few words of inspiration from our "chosen one," well ... it hurts.  :frown:

I deeply appreciate all the effort that went into the campaign to bring big issues to the front of conversations between students at K-State as Ms. Rauth and I ran for SBP/VP. Those scrapped knees my friends and even acquaintances gained while writing my name in chalk on the cold, hard sidewalks are life-long reminders of the love and dedication I will never be able to repay. I cannot say enough about how great of an experience running for SBP was and how it shaped my college experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you goEMAW'rs for your dedication, investments, and love shown to myself and Ms. Rauth during our campaign for office. No amount of   :ksu: :drink: :emawkid:  :billdance: :jerk: can equal our appreciation to all of you, our supporters.

No one and save our political capital.

That time of the year again, EMAWs. Yup, you felt it... SGA elections at Kansas State University. A few years ago this board trustfully supported my failed candidacy for Student Body President. I thank you for that blind support. Luckily, I lost and loved my 5th year of school doin' guy stuff while chasing beers with more beers. I'm better for it.

If you don't believe me then I guess listen to the dopey K-State Mask at his usual annoyingly, long-winded antics. This time about 18-23 year old student body elections.... whatever:

Would show for a Station Pak for the CTR. Will need plenty of double vodka waters again to endure the walk home though. What a great idea... vodka... water... limes... get pak'd and get hydrated! They should coin that and put it in a can or something!

Anyways, see y'all there! (<-- see what I did there? It's the CTR so I'm talking like BigD Cat this week..)

Kansas State Football / 'Cats Play of the Year

Thought's on Kellis' Play of the Year? http://blogs.kansas.com/kstated/2012/12/28/fiesta-bowl-countdown-play-of-the-year-kansas-state-football-edition/

Analysis is pretty spot on imho for that being the turning point where most people who were not already believing began to visualize the upset, but also looking back on my first hand experience in the stadium, it was one of my favorite and most excited 'Cats moments of the year (to date). Still have the shattered cell phone screen to prove it (no, 8MP it was not you who broke my phone during the Baylor game when you were acting like a child).

Just to think, Tuggle... QB turned LB would cause such a hit on that born loser Landry. Man, that was just such a cool moment.

Buddy of mine just had surgery on his ACL and the Doctors told him he can't make the trip anymore. So... he has a ticket for sale in the lower level.

That Doc sounds like a squawk. Tre did something like that to his knee and I bet he will be there. Seems like a dumb excuse.

45
Down to earth... still walks his own dog.

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: goEMAW SITE BANNER HOLIDAY INEQUALITY
« on: December 11, 2012, 11:12:45 AM »
Is Kwanza completely made up?  who celebrates this and what for?

wikipedia can tell us. It was made up by black leaders during the civil rights revolution because they were tired of celebrating the same holiday as their oppressors.

your attempt to articulate Kwanzaa as a pseudo holiday is no less an attempt to deny Africaness than the white oppressors who assimilated blacks into white culture for years. Furthermore, the mere assumption that celebrating Kwanzaa is a civil rights activist defiance against Christianity is a muttled perversion of WASP elitism.

Kwanzaa is no more made up than Christmas (insert Jesus was not born on 12/25 argument here). They can coexist peacefully.

Throw it on the banner.

I almost always go with a temp fade. However, I've been growing it out and now it's more than a THREE guard. So I said hell with it, give me a high fade down to bald. I should have a pretty solid high top come april. These fools at work will not know what to do with me!
