Kansas State Football / Re: THEY WON A BALLGAME!!!
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:48:34 PM »
I am proud to say that North Texas game was the very first KSU game I ever attended.
Little did I know then how significant the victory would be, so in later years I have often tried to sit down and remember every single thing about it that I could.

KSU did have another penalty assessed besides the kick out of bounds.  It was a chop block penalty on our running back and Auburn had I think a PI penalty on the same play, so they offset and the down was replayed.

nebraska hasn't won a conference championship since 1999. you're average nebraska college student doesn't even have a memory of the last time it happened. stick a fork in them. they're done.

that.  And their faces look like butts.
Let's face it guys, Husker was the Uncle Fester of the Big XII.

In all seriousness (not GE'ing), it would be better for all parties for Colin to be a GA at another school and us to hire someone from a different background.

Why would a GA from a different school/background be more valuable to the program than one who already knows our own system and has been around the program for a number of years now?  We aren't talking about him as a coordinator or something he is unqualified for at this time.

the death of a talking point.  Sad

Yeah well our bowl win kind of ended a talking point for them as well, so that ought to even out.  It's a whole new world out there now.  Are we up for the challenge?  I say yes.

You don't get to pick and choose which points in history are relevant.  The bottom line is that K-State has an all-time losing record to a basketball school and is building a new football complex seven years after KU built our's.  Congrats, by the way (the renderings are awesome).

In our defense, we have an all time losing record to almost everybody.  But, in the modern era...  Like, post Cold War.  Life is good.

And yes, the renderings are awesome.

Except against the likes of Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, and USC.

Don't forget Miami and Arkansas.

West Virginia

Minnesota, Cal., and Oregon State.  Umm, I think that's about it for the BCS schools.

Anyone who thinks the 1902-1921 games (when KSU was 1-17-1 against KU) are equally as relevant today as the past two decades of results really needs to have their heads examined.  I know you are just trolling and don't actually believe that, but still.

Hey DGale, did you know that your name is permanently on our stadium?  Not sure if you saw this picture last summer or not.

FAKE!!!  No Katdaddy.  :nono:

You weren't invited to the signing because you aren't important enough to this blog, Katdaddy.  Sorry but that's just the way it is.  And neither am I, apparently.  But I'm OK with that.  We all have a role to play.

Kansas State Football / Re: LHC LHC Bill Snyder PARTY
« on: April 06, 2014, 09:43:09 AM »
I'm quite certain that Snyder used to invite over Gidget "The Taco Bell Chihuahua" before he died in 2009.  Talking dogs are always a great way to liven up the party, especially at the Snyder household.

 :jerk: nope

Well I mean if Gepetto gets the invite, then why not Gidget?

Limestone!  Laughing never hurt so good!  Ouch.  I need to take five to collect myself and change my shorts.

It was definitely a quality post.  Really encapsulates the state of each program very well.

Stan Weber discussed this in detail with Nate and Steven on the Border Patrol this morning.  Pretty interesting.  This is a link to the podcast in case you missed it.  Also discusses the oscar to Marquette rumors later in the interview.

if brad got the job today who do you think would be on his staff?

Tex Winter: Triangle flow master

Lu Colon: Defensive enforcement czar

White Tiger: Recruiting superstar (wine, dine, and sign)

Tay Irving: Official tunnel dance choreographer and director of swag operations

MU selling bb tix to NIT game for $5 according to twitter today

I paid more than that for KSU WNIT tickets in 2006.   :shakesfist:

I had no idea Chris Mullins was such a bad ass.  I just assumed he was a goofy, awkward white guy.  If the Golden State Warriors had ever truly embraced Oakland I would've learned this a long time ago.

Chris Mullin is still Mitch Richmond's BFF to this day.  Not kidding here.  Mitch did a nice interview on the Border Patrol about a month ago.  The podcast may still be available on the 810 website.

Warning: someone's going to tell you that you Luked that. Or even double luked it, technically. But how would you know? The master thread for this is in the Boozecats forum. Really disappointed in gE.c for that one. Belongs on the ksu state purplecat football board.

should be in the adam davis & meshak williams thread IMO

Sproles to Salina bomber catz?

No I think Sproles will get picked up by another NFL team, maybe for less money.  N.O. just needed to make some salary cap room.

thanks for clearing that up

So do you still want Snyder fired immediately?  I know you were saying that at the mid-point of the season, so I just wanted to check if you are still standing by that.  Haven't kept up lately.

My second team would consist of:

Jason Bennett
Abdul Herrera
Buchi Awaji
Ryan Patzwald
Freddy Asprilla

123
Denis
Jake
Rod
Bill
Mike

2nd 5
Angel
Cartier
Jamar
Curt
JO

No Hoskins even on 2nd team???   :horrorsurprise: :curse:

124
Foster WILL be on the list by the time he's done.

Here is my list of per 100s for K-State players going back to 2001 (2013-14 season numbers aren't current).

Pullen, Martin, Beasley, JO are definites to me right now. Then its between guys like Walker, Angel, Rod, and even Gip for the 5th spot.

If you are going back to 2001, wouldn't you pick Jeremiah Massey over JO?  He was 4th in points per 100.  (Well 5th if you count Jake twice.)

125
I absolutely loved the way Hoskins played in 2007 and was absolutely crushed that his knee got hurt and he could not play with Mike and Bill in 2008.  I just don't have the heart to leave him off the team.  I would take a 2007 Hoskins any time, anywhere.  Ever since then whenever I shoot baskets at the rec or anywhere else I pretend that I am Hoskins making game-winners left and right.
