Title: Friday Snack-Off Revisited (3-28-14)
Post by: Stevesie60 on March 28, 2014, 01:36:17 PM
Let's just take beef off the table since 99% of men in America would choose that. Burgers and steaks are hard to beat. So if that's not an option, what meat would you eat for the rest of your life if you could only choose one?

There are just so many things to consider, are there not? We're talking the rest of your life. So you may want to go a healthier route so you don't die at the age of 40. Maybe it's worth it to you, I don't know. But I'd like to find out! (hence the poll). And if you don't choose pork, sorry bud, no bacon for the rest of your life. Maybe you're thinking long term and want some versatility so you don't get sick of eating the same damn thing all the time. Well I think chicken might be the best route for that. Can you imagine not having some boneless wings with your bros for the rest of your life? Woof. Seafood emcompasses all fish and shellfish, but if your a Kansas resident you're going to have to factor in the cost of eating fish all the time. And if you're a strict Catholic, this might be your only option.

As for me, I will be choosing pork. Porkchops, pork tenderloins, hog hammers and pulled pork would make it easy to switch it up a bit. What say you?

I mean, seafood bro.  It's like, hmmm, I can eat only 1 animal, or I can eat all the animals in the sea.  NEXT.

Between bacon, ham sandwiches, and hog hammers this seems like an open and shut case.

Great to have the snack-off back, tho!

Easily seafood.  If I'm near a coast I will not touch pork/chicken/beef.

is this the only meat we can have or the only meat of the three? because chicken would be easy to get rid of if all other poultry is available. pork is at least unique with its closest substitute being beef which is not even similar. seafood is a very broad category so it covers a lot of different things.

"Chicken" should be "Poultry".

Poultry.  Chicken is solid and the richness of duck will help to make up for no bacon.  Also: Eggs.  Boom.

But I mean, if I REALLY had to make this decision, I'd probably just take the easy route and off myself.

Chicken is boring and flavorless unless you add seasonings.  Obviously pork is in the running cause sausage and bacon and pulled pork but ham is rough ridin' disgusting.  Seafood however...

Chicken is pretty flavorless but that helps make it versatile with seasonings.  I think the pork people are just looking at highlights of the meat but that would get old night after night.  Seafood/Chicken are way more versatile.

I'm firing up the grill to cook some PORK-chops as we speak. Oink Oink all the way. So much versatility with the swine. Bacon, BBQ, Game-day pork chops, Chinese food pork entree's are the best. I mean sweet and sour spare ribs  :lick:

Previously, I had never understood your love for football game-day pork chops, but it looks like I'll be joining you from here on out. Oink, Oink, mother rough riders.

I like some seafood, but I don't think i've ever been full from it and if I am? My hands are super slimy from cracking legs, dipping that crap in butter, and getting it all over my fat face. It's a lot of work, man.

You my friend, have not had a properly cooked/marinated pork chop. I will admit I rarely eat them without sauce. Game-day pork chops with some sweet and spicy Baby Rays BBQ sauce are money.

Question, is this to mean that the meat we choose is the only food that we can eat for the rest of our life, or the only meat that we can eat for the rest of life?  For example, if I choose poultry, can I eat a Chicken Caesar salad?

Yeah, you can do whatever you want with the meat you choose. You can even take weeks off from eating it (unless you correctly choose pork because lol at going 2 weeks without pork).

Also, chicken and the other delicious birds is the correct choice.

I have never seen Caesar dressing spelled with anchovies. It is almost always listed as an optional ingredient. I mean, you can't even spell Caesar so it's hard for me to imagine that you know the ingredients.
