The rumors are RAMPANT about how much every single coach on campus hates Currie (save for Weber, obviously), but of particular interest to us here at goEMAW.com are those concerned with LHC Bill Snyder.
It has been brought to our attention that Bill may prefer to hang it up than deal with Currie any longer.
We haven't decided who to endorse in this battle, but we are willing to listen to each side. Please feel free to reach out to us if you feel compelled to do so (ememberray aniervay tepsay aintpay), we may or may not be able to help.
Go Cats!

If you have info that you feel should be out there but don't want to post it please PM me and I will post what the world needs to know. Or, you can PM me with secrets that shouldn't be out there and I won't post them unless you tell me to. Confide in me, friends.

:sdeek: THIS MUST BE PINNED IMMEDIATELY :sdeek:

Typical Bill. Punt and let the D take their turn.
-
This goes for ex-KSU beat journalists as well. You know who you are, you beautiful sons of bitches.

Do we want a Currie SLTH hire or Sean Snyder as KSUHFB?
the choices are ours, and ours alone!

Nice to see you again cap'n

captain, when you didn't come over and drop hints about our game times for the first football game I thought you were gone for good. really good to have you back! :excited:

I love the captain. I feel that needed to be said.

I have lurked now and then. Will still try to keep you guys on the right path when I can. I find the constant Currie-bashing tiresome and misguided, so I haven't posted as often.
-
Seriously though, capatain, you should know that there really are serious grumblings.
There are always two sides...but there are grumblings.

I can't speak to who told you what, since I don't know who it was or what their motivation is. I can probably guess who it was and why he said it though... But based on what I have been told FB's problem isn't / wasn't with JC.

yeah, we were happy to hear he was heading north but some people said he was just the pawn.

Also glad CC is back.
-
Yep, sending him to NU helps.
But, here is the very interesting part of this...what do you think would happen if Wabash Station got it into their heads that Snyder was at odds with Currie...and further what do you think would happen if Snyder left ("retired") and leaked that Currie was at least part to blame for Snyder's decision?
That would be a nuclear bomb, would it not? Those people would go bonkers, right?
I mean, if you're Currie, you are either thinking "I have to get out of here, ASAP," or "the next hire has to blow their doors off" right?
Fascinating.

I happen to think that Currie will be very, very motivated to make a great football hire. That is great for KSU, IMO.

Not sure which I enjoy more: gpc itk or goEMAW itk.

I have no doubt he'll be motivated to make a great hire. But just because he thinks he's making a great hire doesn't mean he actually is. See: Your local chicken nuggets Cup.

Not sure what you're getting at, but your basic outline is true about any rumor about anything anywhere. If enough people believe something and it is left uncorrected or unchallenged, it becomes an issue that has to be addressed. Honestly, I view this scenario as my main reason for posting on this board -- to keep things spiraling from incorrect rumor into fact.
-
I am very glad to have you posting on this.
However, you cannot swing a dead cat in Manhattan without someone talking about this very thing. So, there is something there, IMO.

Sorry, I'm a little lost here...who's FB?

Feared Beard, the KSU equivalent of Deep Throat. Very itk, hush hush stuff. Best not to ask about him again if you value your horse.

would love to see the void in both (pro tip- it's huge in either case)

It stands for Facebook.

Fu Bar
-
Not sure which I enjoy more: gpc itk or goEMAW itk.
goEMAW for me. gpc itk is 99% about trying to prove you know somebody or have connections. goEMAW itk is 99% about rabble rousing, so whether accurate or not, it's always fun.
Except for BSAC itk, which has been proven to be 100% gospel truth.

Sorry, I'm a little lost here...who's FB?

You know, when they forced Khruschev out, he sat down and wrote two letters to his successor. He said - "When you get yourself into a situation you can't get out of, open the first letter, and you'll be safe. When you get yourself into another situation you can't get out of, open the second letter". Well, soon enough, this guy found himself into a tight place, so he opened the first letter. Which said - "Blame everything on me". So he blames the old man, it worked like a charm. He got himself into a second situation he couldn't get out of, he opened the second letter. It said - "Sit down, and write two letters".
just sayin'

cc-
frank was more/less forced out or left completely on his own?
snyder tried to go above currie and start dealing directly with schulz about certain things?
-
After chatting it up with some equestrian friends they made the statement "I don't even consider currie the AD anymore"
Me: what??
Them: He's a douche nozzel and fake, probably gone soon.
Me: wow

I had a very reliable person tell me tale that a female sport coaching staff has the opinion that Currie is widely hated by coaches (and by that particular coach). Is this true? I don't know. People say crazy things sometimes. Who knows.
Not that this is necessarily bad if it is true....I mean, if you suck at your job, you probably hate your boss. But here's the dilemma , if you are good at your job and your boss is bad, you probably hate your boss.
It's a pickle, folks!
But, we'll get to the bottom this, don't you worry.

CC, I'm glad you're back. But I have to say, I know a lot of people who work in and around the K-State athletic department. You are the first person to disagree that everyone hates Currie. Can you at least tell us why so many people think everyone hates him?
-
We have equestrian?
How do horses spend all their scholly money? I never saw one in class.
Hookers and blow, of course.
-
What's amazing (from my undercover TARD investigation) that the old line Tards would favor Currie over Old Bill. They are so happy with the chicken nuggets hire ("oscar is really an upgrade from that filthy mouthed Martin") that they will be all in when Currie announces Houston Nutt as the next coach

So the Equestrian team is the driving force of change in our Athletic Department? I think Eastcat has shed some light on the root of the problem
I bet the get new kewl uniforms all the time too!

I find it really odd that cc said all of the currie talk has kept him off the board, yet he chooses to return out of the blue to rebut the first fire john currie thread title in months.
Consider that excuse debunked. Nevertheless, cc you are always welcome and all things considered should probably be #1 pi victim of goEMAW.
-
cc is to jc as casey scott was to weiser
-
except cc has the balls to post.
-
CC, find out if Currie would be up for doing a competition of sorts for charity. I win, all proceeds to the FFF Fund. He wins, all proceeds to his charity (I assume WSC).
Also, everyone else, 100% that everything CC is claiming is false is actually true.
-
honestly, if we win games in football and basketball IDGAF who he pisses off or how he runs crap. keep building crap. keep winning. I'll love him. the problem obviously being that he doesn't get credit for the games bill is currently winning and he doesn't get credit for the games frank won. hell, he also gets an asterisk next to this season's basketball games because these are 100% frank's guys. but, if he can bring in a winning football coach and keep the basketball team in the NCAA tourny 4 out of 5 years I'll be his biggest fan. I doubt he's around long enough for us to find out though. and I doubt he can keep us winning basketball games with oscar weber as our coach. I would like nothing more than to be wrong though.
-
Accepting the Trim Charity Challenge would hike up everyone's opinion of him too.
-
i nominate Trim for the csourky for best philanthropist

I don't know that I'd love him but I'd probably tone back the twitter jabs.
-
I love his facilities expansion. Love it. I am very grateful for those efforts.
I am concerned about his over zealous approach to compliance. I my opinion, it comes from his desire to have a clean record when he moves on (he apparently believes that this will help him), which I believe to be coming at the cost of our teams.
A "lifer" AD does not behave that way. Look no further than Bob Fedricks or Lew Perkins. No rough ridin' way the find a receipt in the trash can, or take away a rercruiter's cell phone. Those guys each had a National Championship on their watch, and one built up a football program whilst increasing donations eleventy billion percent.
-
maybe the Jamie Vaughn receipt sting operation was not done at Currie's request? seems like cc's implying that Vaugn worked on his own. ultimately whoever hired that dumbass has no room to say he was working on his own. It's your rough ridin' job to oversee your employees and hire the right people. I mean, the guy got Mike Leach, the greatest thing to ever happen to TTech, fired and then we hire him? How the eff does that make sense? Whatever, admit you mumped up on your overseeing of your employees and don't do crap like that again while making my sports teams good.

I have always said that I post to keep things from going off the rails. Felt that the original post was headed that way. I don't feel the need to jump into the constant currie and weber bashing, i've made my thoughts clear on both I think. I'll jump in when things become inaccurate.

OR TO TELL US STUFF NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT YET!
-
I have heard many accounts from people who have spoken directly to coaches of programs across the athletic department spectrum, and my "take away" is that Currie is universally disliked (and hated by some).
Again, I can't say whether that is good or bad for KSU....can be hard to tell.
More, and more of this is coming out all the time. And you can bet that there will be much more very soon. There have been quite a few people leave the "KSU" umbrella of silence lately...

Me too. I wonder why the most powerful coaches on campus feel this way.
-
More, and more of this is coming out all the time.
Where has it "come out"?
-
It's very common to micromanage when you're first put into a position of authority where you're overseeing others. This isn't JC's first gig where he had oversite, but it's the first time he's been the main guy. I wouldn't be surprised to hear mistakes were made. I'd also be surprised if we hired someone who didn't make some mistakes. Look at the big picture.

cc, thoughts on any of the above/below...
-someone close to frank says that it wasn't up to frank as to whether or not he had the opportunity to keep coaching at kstate.
-someone has said that bill got so fed up with currie that he attempted to bypass him by going straight to schulz.
-also any opinions on why our own school has been hell bent on getting basketball players in trouble/kicked off. particulary in regards to curtis when the athletic dept was more/less begging the commitee to not let curt back on the team.
-

- do not think it was specifically JC related from what I know
- disagree that compliance looks for ways to get kids in trouble. Curt stuff I'll just say was a merging of several issues at once.

- disagree that compliance looks for ways to get kids in trouble. Curt stuff I'll just say was a merging of several issues at once.
How about Snyder trying to go above Currie's head to Shulz, and Currie getting super pissed and shutting it down, further pissing off Snyder?
-
Have you talked to the "powerful coaches" directly?
I think you know how this works.
Oh, I definitely do. I can easily guess who you guys hear from in Frank's camp and in football's camp. Which is why I felt need to correct you.

frank was more/less forced out or left completely on his own?
snyder tried to go above currie and start dealing directly with schulz about certain things?

-someone has said that bill got so fed up with currie that he attempted to bypass him by going straight to schulz.
-also any opinions on why our compliance dept has been hell bent on getting basketball players in trouble/kicked off. particulary in regards to curtis when the athletic dept was more/less begging the commitee to not let curt back on the team.

Let me put this conspiracy theory out there: Bill knows there is no way in hell John hires Sean. Bill knows that if he can get the John v. Bill fires stoked he will get huge amounts of pressure put on Currie to force him out or force his hand. So, even though Bill and John work fine together Bill starts floating this stuff out there in the back channels to start the rabble rousing by the fans. Almost certainly crazy conspiracy theory. BUT I've personally been involved with prior crazy LHC Bill Snyder back channel PR schemes that were just as ridiculous (and I've always loved him for doing this kind of crap for other reasons).
-
The compliance talking point is just baffling to me.
Why is this baffling to you? Every major college program is dirty on some level. NCAA by-laws aren't some legally binding law. Why is it good for KSU to have a higher level of compliance than our competitors. This puts us at a disadvantage against our competitors. The point of internal compliance is to do just enough so that the NCAA stays off our backs. It's not to go above and beyond in trying to find violations. Every program is dirty. Once we start digging deeper than others to find our dirt, deeper than the NCAA expects, we put ourselves at a disadvantage. I'm pretty sure the NCAA doesn't expect compliance to go to the local Western Union and tell the clerk "If anything fishy goes on, bring it to me."
-

I should be careful here, but I do know that Bill would very much like Sean to take over. And is obv very disappointed that it's not going to happen while JC is here.
Would keep that in mind when you guys talk to people from the football camp.

Captain, how would you characterize our financial capabilities to hire the next football coach?
Would you say that we will financially compete at the very highest levels of D1, high-end BCS, middle BCS, or lower? Also, if you say high-end or above, you just bought yourself a currie fan, FWIW.

was the football media campaign changed to "16 Goals For Success" late in the process because of the thought that this was going to be Bill's last season? if so, for what reason did those in charge feel like this could be the last season?

Could you imagine following a coaching search where we had a legit shot a non-ron prince type hire? It's breath taking to think of.

An important one, SD. A very important one.

Why did anybody think money would be an obstacle to John Currie hiring who he wants?
Because it always used to be. We are the university that hired Jim Wooldridge and Ron Prince.

I will forgive the weber hire and merely chalk it up to covering a need with a "safe" option, IF we go balls to the wall for the next FB staff.

money didn't factor into weber. it's basketball. you don't butter your bread w/ basketball.

I think we have a misunderstanding. I thought it was common knowledge that we are trying to run as clean of program as possible. I think I misread your statement as "we have a very high level of compliance, I'm baffled that people are against having the highest level of compliance possible", not "I'm baffled that people think we have a higher level of compliance than everyone else."

Pete tossed out a hoops reference as to why he previously (until CC came around and got Pete's stats, STRAIGHT about everything) thought money would be a factor in hiring a fb coach.

Yeah.
Weber kind of fit the perfect mold for a guy like Currie. Cost effective, runs a clean program, has a history of success (even if it's not recent), and will probably fit in pretty well with the majority of the fans after the first year.
-
Weber was a crap hire. He never gets a pass for that. It doesn't just go away. It was his very first hire. He mumped it royally.

I would be willing to change to pro-Currie if he could get something done about athletic housing. CC, are there any discussions going on inside the AD to work with Housing & Dining to bring student athlete living conditions into the 21st century? Have their been any discussions about diverting some of the potential fund raising efforts for the next phases of the BSFS to new athletic housing? (Mods: if this is not the approriate place to post this question to CC, please move)

Honestly don't know. I will ask some people. I will say that more and more athletes are being placed in the new Jardine complex, which is obv pretty nice.

i disagree wholeheartedly on your no response and thank god and jesus every day that calmer heads prevailed and our own freaking athletic dept was not allowed to kick curtis kelly off of our basketball team halfway through his senior year when it was pretty obvious to people close to the situation that they really wanted to.

It woulds seem that one cannot argue against the idea that Pat Bosco (who loves KSU more than life itself) had a very different opinion than John Currie and friends.

It's great that you have sources that talk you about stuff. There is little chance you have all of the info. It might help add context, that's all I'm saying. The people in the AD were acting in the best interest of K-State.
You say you can't envision this happening at other schools... unless you have prior experience working in other AthDepts, I am curious to know how you can knowledgeably compare what happens at K-State to what happens elsewhere. I, however, can speak to this point with some degree of accuracy when I say this kind of thing does indeed happen elsewhere.

So was it in the best interests of K-State to kick CK off the team, or to make it look like they were trying to kick him off, but really we weren't?
It seems like there were no consequences to not kicking him off that affected K-State in a negative manner. Our basketball team was better because CK was playing for it, so in that sense it seems like the best interests of K-State were served by not kicking him off.

I think it's worth repeating that Pat Bosco probably had all the facts.

For all practical purposes it has taken on the appearance that John Currie consistently screws with our basketball program. FWIW
This cannot be disputed.

I don't know what else I can say. It requires trust on your part that the people in charge of your university athletic program felt they were doing the right thing. They acted as they did with a larger amount of facts than you have available to you. There may well be people out there who disagree with the actions they took, and if you were to speak with them or those close to them, you would hear statements that reflect that disagreement -- which doesn't change the original point, that the people in charge did what they felt was best, knowing full well that it would make some folks unhappy. It happens all the time to people in leadership positions, you get faced with decisions that seem to have no easy answer. So you do what you think is best.
And yes, I realize that me asking you to place some trust in JC is going to be a very tall order for some of you.
And I'm now done with the CK stuff.

So you truly believe the people that work at the AthDept are just evil people who want to F with a kid and ruin his career? You don't think perhaps there's more info here that they had that you do not have?
i think you'd be slightly surprised at the amount of info i have in regards to this. for the rest of it, i would say that i don't know if there are "evil people who want to f with a kid and ruin his career" and never implied that. i did state that if the choice would've been entirely up to the athetic dept that curtis would've been permanently kicked off the team and that they actually tried fairly hard to make it happen. i also do not envision other athletic departments acting in the manner in which ours did-actively trying to persuade final rulings, etc. it looks like you don't agree with me and that's ok. it's fun to discuss things with people that have differing viewpoints. also, are you going to vote on any of the csourkys?
It's great that you have sources that talk you about stuff. There is little chance you have all of the info. It might help add context, that's all I'm saying. The people in the AD were acting in the best interest of K-State.
You say you can't envision this happening at other schools... unless you have prior experience working in other AthDepts, I am curious to know how you can knowledgeably compare what happens at K-State to what happens elsewhere. I, however, can speak to this point with some degree of accuracy when I say this kind of thing does indeed happen elsewhere.
thanks for voting for me cc. you are the best

Hey CC, when are we getting new uniforms? Phase 2?
Also, speaking of phases, how is fundraising coming on phases 2 and 3?
How aggressive are we working on completing the master plan, and what year do you think that can reasonably be completed?
Thanks

well i obviously don't know everything that went on. nobody knows everything that went on. but the whole "i can't have a valid opinion because i haven't worked in mulitple athletic departments at multiple schools" thing that you just did seems pretty unnecessary and condescending imo, but i also hold you to an insanely high standard so who knows here.
bottom line for me (and i'll drop it after this i promise) is that the athletic dept tried to convice bosco and company to not let curt play basketball at kstate ever again and although i haven't logged years inside of peer school athletic departments, i don't think it would've went down like that at most other places and i don't think it would've went down like that at kstate five or ten or fifteen years ago either. i don't think most other athletic departments will try as hard as ours did to get a player like curt kicked off the team permanently half way through his senior year. i just don't. they certainly would kick a person off for violating rules or policy or whatever, but i don't think many would actively try to fight an avenue that could lead to him being put back on. ours did.

They acted as they did with a larger amount of facts than you have available to you.
Stop saying this.
For the same reasons why you go by "Captain Crap" and not your real name and make sure that you only go so far in what you post here, there are people who were in the rough ridin' rooms when these things went down who give us the info under made-up names and via pm, etc.
I appreciate you coming here and setting forth the Athletic Department's side on things.
EDIT: Daris is a little more tactful than me.

For all practical purposes it has taken on the appearance that John Currie consistently screws with our basketball program. FWIW
This cannot be disputed.
I would dispute that it happens, I would not dispute that some of you believe that appearance exists.
I just have a small problem with the "trust in JC" approach. I do not believe he is always credible.
Has Currie interviewed for other jobs in the past year? Because we know that he has even though he denies it. Which calls into question his credibility.

then don't trust in JC. big deal.

We are really blessed to have as many reliable sources as we do. Sometimes I marvel at it, actually.

It's really something else.

I'm totally cool with JC continually striving for a big time AD or NCAA job and I get that it consumes his ever waking moment like nothing else. I get that it consumes him. It's cool but don't eff up our stuff in that pursuit.
-
the best interest of kstate is to fill the two stadiums on the North end of campus and get as much positive exposure from those teams as possible.

Hi CC :babywillie:
Someone asked this earlier and you didn't answer, but maybe you just haven't seen it yet or whatever, so I'll ask it again and expand on it with my own:
--How much longer would you speculate, based on your gut or information or whatever, that LHC Bill Snyder will coach here?
--Same question but with John Currie.
And feel free to explain why you're speculating that about either or both. tia.
-
it's pretty cool that we have sources inside the athletic department that represent both the AD's point of view and the fanbases. meanwhile at gpc they have reporters that call the wrong recruits for interviews.
-
yes, thank you for everyone that gives us information and for captain crap for take the time to visit from time to time and for all of you for participating. it really is, by far, the best source for Kansas State information and it doesn't cost anyone (except BSAC) a cent.
goEMAW does not have an agenda other than making Kansas State better. to do this, we work on the information that people are willing to share with us. as always, if you know anything you would like to tell us feel free to send me a private message. I will only post what you give me permission to post.
-
even though he's been on a hiatus, cc definitely deserves a csourky. :katpak:
-
Let me float this conspiracy theory out there: Bill knows there is no way in hell John hires Sean.
I should be careful here, but I do know that Bill would very much like Sean to take over. And is obv very disappointed that it's not going to happen while JC is here.
Would keep that in mind when you guys talk to people from the football camp.
BOOM
On this topic, I am #TEAMCURRIE with a god damn flaming torch in my hand. Like take a bullet for Currie #teamCurrie, on this topic.
Yeah, this really makes it hard to root for one side or the other.

Pat Bosco (loves KSU more than life itself)
I love Pat Bosco so much.
Pat Bosco = Patron Saint of K-State (trust him implicitly to ALWAYS do the right thing for K-State)
Those who disagree with Pat Bosco = not in the right vis-a-vis what's best for K-State

cc, a couple more "is this true/thoughts?" type points:
There was a disagreement between ADJC and HCBS over flying the team to the Cotton Bowl. ADJC tried to force Bill to bus the team down. Bill won.
When Currie was informed that Frank was talking to South Carolina on that Friday night, he didn't tell the KSU Athletics Board of Directors. They did not find out until Sunday afternoon that Currie knew this and was not actively trying to get Frank to say.

The two things I wish in life:
1. I could get on pm list(s) like this. and
2. I was creative enough have an internet sock (or be able to tell who is and who isn't a sock). I'm not even creative enough to have one good internet personality, let alone be able to handle two.

we don't have a secret pm or email list or anything like that. if we get one, you are all invited to be on it. but, if we get one, we'll probably just spam your inbox with #fatty4ksu donation requests until you unsubscribe.

Like, I don’t accept the “they were acting in the best interest of Kansas State” thing. Not that I don’t think they thought that, and not that I don’t think they had more information than I did.
But, like, I see the results of their acting in the best interest of Kansas State and I don’t think it resulted in what’s best for Kansas State when it comes to the management of the teams/coaches. The results of their marketing and alumni donation campaigns appear fantastic.
IMO, there are rules and then you figure out how to play within them, rather than figuring out how to enforce them. There’s a slight distinction.

I guess that I disagree with that statement because, historically, the success levels at these two programs are pretty night and day. If there are so many inherent advantages to SC over KSU, you would think that it would have been seen in the last 50-75 years.

the last 50-75 years matter about as much as...nothing. frank is closer to home and in a place where he thinks he can build.

He had already built here. eff that argument. John Currie was a horrible person for a guy like Frank to work for, and that's why he's not our coach anymore.

Agreed.
If Frank thinks he can fix USC as easily as he fixed KSU, he's in for a rude surprise. At KSU, the first year of Frank's tenure included Beasley, Walker and a young Pullen. He struck gold twice with transfers like Clemente and Kelly. At the beginning of his tenure, he had an elite level recruiter on staff that was paid more than many head coaches were making. Bramlage Coliseum was sold out and the fan enthusiasm level was as high as it could possibly be.
NONE of that exists at South Carolina.
I'm not talking about K-State's superior history and tradition compared to South Carolina. I'm talking about talent on the roster, recruiters on staff and fan support/enthusiasm. Frank has none of that at South Carolina.
-
Frank has a nack for getting more out of bad players. He will do better at USC then his predecessors. He will never match the success he's had at KSU, ever.
-

If he does well at USC, like makes the tourney within 3 years, he could get a better job and surpass it.

yeah, if he wins the national championship this season he could surpass it too. or even a final four. I stand by my original post.

Frank is a very good coach and he'll do fine at South Carolina. It's not a better job, but I expect the results will be about the same as at K-State when he gets things up an running. Never in real contention for a conference title, a perennial NCAA tournament team, with a high water mark of an Elite 8 every once in a blue moon when he can get his program changer like Pullen down there.
-
here's to hoping our next coach has read street & smith's top 100 programs issue.

All we need is Manhatter to make a gpc style side by side comparison of the schools. Who has better drinking fountains, who has the better prairie, etc. I'll bet K-state wins in a landslide.

Everybody in N. and S. Carolina is a tar heels/dook 'fan' when it comes to basketball. He won't be able to recruit there like he thinks he can. Like it or not SC was a pretty 'dead' program in both sports until Spurrier showed up and he still can't accomplish anything major. It's roughly the same as Nebraska basketball without the football legacy.
-
yeah. i'm pretty sure frank didn't turn down a boatload of cash from depaul and oregon to bide his time and wait for that once in a lifetime opportunity of south carolina to come calling. i think it was a closest port in the sea/ocean/large body of water that has a really bad storm coming type thing. why he had to leave or whatever is the interesting part. someone super close to him told people he was forced out and there was zero effort on kstates part to try to retain him.

If it's in town, probably. Keep in mind though that my strategy after the cops put on all their evidence is going to be telling the prosecutor and the Judge, "Look, I get that you've been given some information and that's why you're holding this trial but realize your information is incomplete and/or wrong and nicname's not guilty. Even if you have a videotape of nicname cutting off the funeral procession and flashing a combofan at the camera, trust me, there's things you don't know. I rest my case."

Can we make charts and stuff? Like maybe a diagram of the intersection? Also, I have a witness and also could call the cop who gave me the ticket to the stand and you could ask him all sorts of questions that make it clear that it was all his fault in the first place.

If the court isn't satisfied with me telling them that notwithstanding everything they know and have been shown by the prosecution, that there's some other stuff they don't know and that they should take my word for it and let you off, well then I don't know what to tell you. I deal in transparency.

Got it. Court is in Minneapolis, KS anyway. That is the true charge though and it really was the cops fault. He ran a stop sign, then didn't turn on his "flashers" until he was behind me, thus signaling that there was indeed a procession. Of course, I didn't know this and thought the cop was then pulling me over randomly, so I pulled over and the dude just went around me. At that point im like "wtf?" so I pull back out onto the street and as I do I notice the hearse behind me, but by then I was already out in the lane so I just turned onto the nearest side street to get out of the way. Too late, cop left his post at the front of the procession, flipped a u-turn and pulled me over.

I'm going to take on some pro bono criminal defense work and try some of the argument strategies I've observed here.
Do you have any free time on August 20? I am currently fighting a traffic violation for cutting off a funeral procession.
