Really wish Nick or KK reported it. Soren is a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Would be more believable in my eyes if the others reported it.

I still love Wally.
From the heart, not the brain.
It's not Jake love, or even Curt love, but it has potential.
-
so thin in the front court next year. ask him to walk on
-
I'd take him back as a walk-on.
-
We have Jamar and JHR coming back.
We have 2 solid looking HS prospects coming in, but the likelyhood of either being an immediate impact guy is slim.
We are not going to find a JUCO big worth anything.
Judge coming back seems like the best possible option for us to have post depth. Even if Wally is about the same as he was this year.
:ck:

:bracketmouse:

Wally love is kinda like bambi love. Poor lil guy is so awkward and helpless, you just can't help but want to adopt him.
-
If part of his problem was JO getting minutes ahead of him, he will have a really big issue upon returning.
-
Dominique too???

You are ignoring the tc aspect of Wally, though.

Fine, would take him back if crazy Lolita went away for good.

well, if part of his problem was Freddy getting minutes ahead of him...PROBLEM rough ridin' SOLVED!

If Wally wants to walk on, fine. Him being on scholarship instead of 95 or even Ojeleye would just be a joke.
-
gotta think that BITB is soren's source. Soren doesn't even know where our program is located, let alone anyone in it.
-
I'm not an expert on transfer rules. If we refuse to give Wally a scholarship for next year can he transfer without sitting out? That seems unfair to him.
-
I don't believe, however, I only want if nick can stay too.

It would be unfair if he didn't quit halfway through this season.

doesn't make sense. therefore, not true. :ck:

Its him leaving. If he leaves he has to sit out regardless, but its whether or not we release him, which I think Frank would do.
If he comes back I'm sure there would be conditions that he'd have to meet, this is Frank we're talking about here. If Frank lets him back, I'm good with it.
But I'm also fine if he leaves. But if he really wants to be back, its not a bad situation for us. IMHO.

Condition #1: Dump that bitch
Condition #2: Dump her hard.
Condition #3: send DLew a thank you card

Don't believe this either, fwiw.

So, if Frank refuses to release him, then he can come back here and go to school for free another year without playing and then transfer without sitting out another year? That would seem fair. Could Bryce Brown have still gone to school for free at Tennessee this year and played for KSU this fall?

I can't help that I love Wally, BUT...I can't help but notice the run the Q@ts have been on since he left hang out with that slut full-time.
He let the team down, let the fans down, and let me down from my exaggerated hopes based solely on adorableness.

No. If Frank refuses to release him, he doesn't have a scholarship, but has to go to JUCO for a year before going to another school. If he's released, he can go to another school and be on scholarship, but he has still has to sit out a year unless he gets an exemption from the NCAA.
-
Isn't Dom playing this year?
EDIT: He did not.

He wouldn't. That's why I brought up Bryce Brown.

in this new, wonderful underwoffense (<---copyrighted), guards are more important, specifically guards that can score/shoot. nick is one of those.

I don't really buy the whole wally left so we got better theory...i think it was more just a coincedence with the team finally understanding the offense and our schedule helped out alot too. Grienke quit the royals for bit and that work out well!!

I thought the same thing as _FAN, but I can't recall a kid quitting and not leaving immediately. Wally's still here. Is he still going to class?
Maybe threatening to come back is Wally's leverage to get a release. But, like I said, I'm not an expert on the rules.

you don't have to go to a juco if you aren't released. it's not uncommon to do so, since they can't accept athletic aid at an ncaa school for a year, but it isn't mandatory.
it makes sense for unreleased freshmen transfers. not sure it would for older students.

Yeah, I was making the assumption to go to JUCO since you can't get aid. I didn't explain it there, but I know that's a possibility. There aren't many that do that though, but there also aren't many that aren't released anymore.

2-5 with Wally, wins over Texas Tech and Baylor. 8-1 without Wally. Even though Wally has left us with only Curt, Jamar, and JO, we are still much better. If that isn't the definition of a team cancer, I don't know what is.

you don't recall them hanging around because they transfer after the season is over (they finish the semester, but no one cares to report/discuss it), or after the fall semester. in which case they leave immediately to start at their new school.
it's very unusual for players to quit in the middle of a season, other than 1st semester transfers.

yes. this is all hypothetical. judge will be released whenever he asks for a release.

If this is the case, Wally needs to get in the weight room yesterday.

Wally is as big as curt, JHR, Jamar, etc.
Getting bigger would be great, but don't act like he is a waif or some skinny kid.

I just have a hard time believing one player is the sole reason when there are a million other factors like our offense finally working..jake playing better, shane starting, jhr playing better. Do you really think all those things happened cuz wally left the team??

Maybe Wally couldn't "get" the new offense. And people like Shane and JHR did.
-
I'd rather have Wally than some JUCO big.
If he wants to come back and he gives full effort, good.
If he comes back and spends extremely long stretches on the bench because he's in Frank's doghouse, just give his scholarship to 95 or VO.
-

All true, but until about 10 games ago this was needed for JHR too.
Wally has been put in his place... and there would obviously need to be some reconciliation between the staff AND the team. But if Wally plays by rules and agrees to the path of reconciliation laid out by Frank, the team, the school, etc... and this is the place Wally wants to be, then by all means, let him back.
I certainly agree with Zacker however: If your going to let Wally comeback, I don't think you can even consider jettisoning anybody on the current team just to open up schollys without completely losing credibility with the players.
-
I'm torn, I love Wally and want to see him succeed and prefer it would be with the cats. But, part of the new found winning ways is because Judge was a distraction and required more attention from Frank/staff in practice and took away from the rest of the team IMHO. If he has his head screwed on right and can give all of his attention to the team it could be huge to get him back.
-
IMO, people are tards if they think getting Wally back would be a bad thing, IMO.

This probably means we'd just swap a guard for Jones at Seward and let Wally fill the final scholarship.
I think the tea leaves point to a guard leaving regardless. Wally coming back just means no random three star prep or JUCO big.

It's sad if actually have actually convinced yourself of this. You do realize you're talking about a sophomore right?
Edit: Sorry, I forgot about that sophomore we had a couple years ago that we thought could turn it around. What was his name again...Pullen maybe? You're right good riddance :bang: eeeee

Wow, I guess I forgot when Pullen used to be the worst scholarship player on the team, and I also forgot when Pullen decided he wasn't getting enough minutes, so he should just quit the team, leaving them with only 3 guards to finish out the season.
-
Would take, the pressure is off. I think he would flourish in this offense the way that JO has if he takes the time to learn it.
-
I remember a 5* recruit finishing his Sophomore year who lost his way and was taken in and embraced by EMAW. EMAW saved this young man's life. I remember a firey point guard from Puerto Rico who was asked to leave by his hometown school and taken in by EMAW. EMAW turned his life around. Who would we be to turn our backs on one of our own if he wants a second chance with us? What is EMAW if EMAW can't give Wally another shot? I don't think I want any part of that EMAW.
EMAW

JO is independent of wally. If nothing else, having another big body in practice to work around will help JO develop faster.

That being said, the possibility of a JO - Diaz handoff is has the potential to create a new dimension of

I would tell Wally we won't make a decision right now but if you:
A. Send even one single more tweet about ANY girl, RUTGERS;
B. If you distract any of our players going fwd to the Big 12 torunament or the dance, RUTGERS;
C. If you say anything negative in the press about the school/coaches/your experience, RUTGERS;
D. If you get in ANY trouble with the law or academically, RUTGERS.
Also, it wouldn't hurt if you call everyone at DCA and tell them it wasn't the Cats, it was you and that everyone should get back on board with EMAW.

We def need to do more to patch up the DCA rift. Whether that be cash, or pointing the finger of blame at them for wally. what ever it needs to be, it would be nice if it happened.

I think you could sum it up by saying he needs to grow up and start taking some accountability for his actions, stop letting women get into his head, and get on board with what we're trying to do here, then that would pretty much take care of it because if he doesn't he won't have success anywhere else he goes.
-
Frank: Wally, you can let women screw up the rest of your life. But give me two more years before that.

CNS = last semester's civil engineering student?

I would tell Wally we won't make a decision right now but if you:
A. Send even one single more tweet about ANY girl, RUTGERS;
B. If you distract any of our players going fwd to the Big 12 torunament or the dance, RUTGERS;
C. If you say anything negative in the press about the school/coaches/your experience, RUTGERS;
D. If you get in ANY trouble with the law or academically, RUTGERS.
Also, it wouldn't hurt if you call everyone at DCA and tell them it wasn't the Cats, it was you and that everyone should get back on board with EMAW.
I think you could sum it up by saying he needs to grow up and start taking some accountability for his actions, stop letting women get into his head, and get on board with what we're trying to do here, then that would pretty much take care of it because if he doesn't he won't have success anywhere else he goes.
I think Wally needs it spelled out.

CNS = last semester's civil engineering student?
Not really. We provide two diff services. Engineers can add and stuff, but can't organize, plan, communicate, and manage the resources needed to execute the work.
CNS guys are usually guys who may have initially wanted to be engineers, but who's indulgence in liquor and women sways them to something less engineery.

I should have done CNS then. :drink:

I think JO should be an example to Wally that it takes effort and focus to improve and doing things like going to the gym after games and shooting.

ME! 'cept I missed every rung on the ladder and fell all the way to bus. school. Then kinda bounced back up to law school. :dunno:
Engineering is for dorks that can manage to stay enrolled in more than 7 hours their first semester of college. Pfffft. :jerk:

THIS.
I got sorted twisted around the axle over a bitch my sophomore year. Took it real hard for a bit there. Then, some EMAW put their arms around me and showed me how to enjoy the eff out of my college life. Basically, what I am saying here is that Wally is being a $!#*, and it takes a former one to know one. It won't stop unless he ditches that bitch.

I'm picturing Wally training in some barn with dirt floors with the advice from some old and wise washed up basketball coach. All the while some motivational song is playing in the background. All "back to the basics" type of stuff. Think Rocky IV when he was training in the snow. He'll be back. He'll be ready.

Joke is on you bro, I never even tried any higher math past Strengths, etc. It's cool though, neither of us would have a job without the other.

I picture Wally on the couch, eating cheetos, playing xbox and talking on the phone all day long to girls about how he's going to tear it up next year at whatever school he ends up at. I'm sure once or twice a week he heads up to the rec and dominates a bunch of 6 footers.

For the record, I was the one to coin the term, to describe Dax and co. I'm sure he'd love to claim it though, as repeating others' phrases and talking points is near and dear to him.

Earliest usage of goEMAWtard from a simple search
Wow, ADD boy sure does love to embellish.
Where is there pleading??
Again, you don't send Fred Brown packing and replace him with . . . no one.
This isn't hard, but apparently the goemawtards are going to make it hard.
Oh, and Denny Clemente is nothing anywhere close to "great".
If you said it earlier jtksu (which you may well have), you must show proof.

It is definitively dax's. And sd clarified: goemawtards
I think you may be able to just call everyone EmawTards and drop the Go. It seemed to work for GoPowercat. This is just imo as you are the pro here.
whew this controversy is settled.

i love how you were able to simultaneously show that jt was lying and post some great "dax hates denis and jake" posts.

Meh. I probably just said it first on the old site and Dax immediately fell in love with it and started using it over and over until it was tired and stale. (Which usually takes Dax about 2 days to accomplish.) Once it was completely played out, Dax continued to use it for well over a year, oblivious to the fact the he is actually king of the emawtards. Pretty standard stuff, really.

Not the most pressing topic as we cruise through the NCAAs, but...
Wally Judge, who left Kansas State earlier in the year, remains a strong possibility to land at Maryland.

Surely someone has heard something from Wally at this point. I mean, it's been a while and he is at home watching his bro's killing it in the tourney. Gotta think he is wishing he didn't jump ship. Would have played quite a bit yesterday.
Someone needs to get a scoop on this.

"That girl" has told folks that Wally is coming back to KSU next year. Guy I work with talked to her. Said she has a "phat ass".

Haven't seen any Wally tweets lately. Maybe he said he's coming back and thus is back on social media lockdown? :ck:
-
Wally was chilling at Tubby's last night up until about 30 minutes before tip off.
-
I'm a huge Wally fan but I honestly hope he doesn't come back. Too much drama for what he gives us on the court. I'm sure there were lots of other factors but we really seemed to come together and gel when he and Freddy bailed.
-
Honestly, I'm not usually all tardy like this, but if Frank lets Wally back on the team, I'll prob assume that whatever issues there were have been dealt with and Frank really thinks that Wally could help us. Frank obviously hasn't had a problem in the past telling players he doesn't want to move on. I can say from personal experience that when your mind isn't right it can effect every aspect of your life. People really can get better and figure their crap out. Frank, who's closer to the situation than any of us seems to believe that Wally can do this and if he does than that's good enough for me.

there aren't any. the biggest positive of possibly retaining judge, imo, is that it might prevent the staff from handing out as many 'ships to spring scrubs.

I was this until I saw the stiff bigs that are left out there for the 11 class. That we're still after the Euro 6'6 lead foot from the north east has me willing to open my arms and welcome Wally back for at least one more season.
