We all just going to sit here and ignore the fact that the man is clearly heading towards highway 69?

sorry to rain on everyone's parade but its not happening. the reason is because the original rules of basketball on display in the museum is merely a copy, the original document is kept secure in a vault beneath the hill. sorry folks.

Millennials (of which I’m one) are so horrifically cringe

Kinda wild that there are millennials who are also quadragenarians.

Agreed that serial liars are a big deal. #commonground

6
So dax, is it important to you that presidential candidates be truthful? Bc you've mentioned that whole Biden dropping out of a race for lying several dozens of times now, it seems like lying is a big deal to you, is that accurate?

Trump has publicly endorsed the sentiments of all of those bumper stickers I think we can make some rational inferences on this one, jack

I think Diaz now has more blown saves/losses than he does saves. They're just finding dick crushing ways to lose at this point

Say what you will about this obvious sack of crap but it should be noted the last year they made the Pontiac Grand am GT was 2005.

The money they would bring in from premium Hill parking would more than cover the entire cost of the stade reno

Have none of you seen I love Lucy? One episode some huge country singer played the Wabash Cannonball on guitar and sang the whole song. He was playing the part of Lucy's cousin or something.

I'm 40 and no, I have never seen I Love Lucy.

I am not entirely familiar with the program, but I know she was a total badass and was like actually I'm going to get paid af for my work and get and Desi made money hand over fist bc they weren't beholden to studio overlords or something to that effect. Pretty cool.

13
I actually kind of agree with dax, we should not have a president that, when reading a teleprompter, confuses the spoken part with the cues to the speaker

Speaking of calling stuff by the wrong name, it's kind of a gift and a curse being a plumbing fixture insider (PFI) Like you're talking about the place you wash your hands in the bathroom and they call it a sink and it's like "not a sink m8 that's a lavatory"

"Lavatory? You mean the toilet?"
Not a toilet that's a water closet

Definitely not a peeve bc you can't expect John Everyman to be a PFI like you but man, when you know you know

calling concrete "cement" is just wrong, there is no debate. The only reason you would call it that is that's what some old dumbass called it who learned it from some other even older dumbass and then passed it on to you.
And then also they pronounce it SEE-ment just to sprinkle a little layer of gross on top of being wrong

This exact discussion was recently had on the Phog in the David Booth Erection Thread.

And I must confess, I too will take one spit into the urinal or terlit, and I too have no idea why. Just an ideal spitting opportunity?

Is it mayhaps a "priming the pump" type thing? Like oh this urinal is dry how am I supposed to pee? Best to get the wetness party started so I can start peeing? Kind of a stretch but I find it fascinating and would be very interested as to the psychology behind it

Ok well you just watch when they quietly adjust it to the actual horrific numbers (and tbch I think we're lucky if we get that page 9 adjustment/correction before the election)

With all this talk about PE money trying to get into college athletics I think its safe to say KU is going to hop on that train with zero regard to long term costs.

Does KU athletics own the rules of basketball or is owned by some other entity? Would hate to see them have to auction off the rules here in 10 years when PE turns the screws to recoup their investment.

I believe David Booth owns them and lends them to the University.

It was my understanding that the document in question is a facsimile of the Original Rules of Bssketball?

Not sure if it's a peeve so much as a curiosity... But what's the deal with people who feel the need to spit into the urinal before they start peeing? Like I don't think they just spit a lot and sometimes it happens to be at the urinal, it seems like a very specific and deliberate ritual.

dax has been waiting for this like a pitch outside the zone so he can rip it deep

I mean it's ku doing facilities improvements…statistical certainty they were gunna hang a slider. And seasoned veteran dax knows to wait and let that ball get to the zone so he doesn't rip it into the 3rd base seats

If I were a network exec I would do anything possible to get the 2024 heisman winner in an exclusive prime time slot

Gus might actually win an Emmy for his PBP description of Avery.
The ESPY is already in the bag (if those are still a thing?)

Point of order: is it acceptable if I have a 66 but he was like upended so he was upside down when the photo was taken. Can that be used as a 99?
