Would that be Chad's son?

If so I don't think they live together. Last I heard about Chad May he was selling hot tubs in Phoenix and this kid lives in KC.

First off, I spoke with Breontae Matthews last night about his visit over the weekend. I'll have all the details on that coming either tonight or tomorrow. Positive news with him, but no commitment yet.

That being said, he told me some interesting news about another recruit while recapping his trip. I asked him about the other prospect on an official, Abdul Beecham, and what he thought of everything (such as facilities) to see if Matthews had any take. Breontae said they were both very impressed with the new complex but "this other kid" was not. Not aware there was anyone else, I pushed for details.

"There was this other dude there on a visit and he was just making all these side comments, bad mouthing K-State and stuff," Matthews told me. "Like, when were in the weight room or whatever, it was like everything they showed us he would bring up how he's seen it before or someone else has it better and all that. I was thinking this kid had to be some like 5-star recruit the way he was being so critical but come to find out he ain't got no offers to be talking like that. Just some high school kid."

The prospect: Darta Lee.

Matthews went on to add that throughout the weekend, he found Lee to be less and less a K-State guy, saying, "I don't think they ever would have invited him had they known he'd be like that, you know? He was saying how it probably wasn't a fit and maybe it's not, but I hope he has other options because I don't think they'll be interested now after the way he was acting."

Needless to say, if the behavior was so obvious that other recruits could detect it, there's no way it got past Snyder's staff. Perhaps Lee was interested until this past weekend and realized K-State wasn't for him or perhaps he was completely unaware of his behavior. Either way, I'm not going to judge anybody in this instance because this is exactly why you have visits in the first place - so everyone can see each other in person and find out what the other is about (reminds me of a similar situation with Marquel Combs in 2012). No matter the explanation, I think it's safe to say best of luck to him wherever he winds up because it will not be in Manhattan.

Must be a Currie plant. Genius. Get folks riled up about our facilities still not being up to par and watch the money roll in.

Don't know if it's been mentioned or not, but it makes me very happy strictly from a name standpoint

All I care about is at some point some announcer says Byron Pringle and DJamer Render in the same sentence.

42. Kansas State Wildcats

High school football talent in the state of Kansas is notoriously lacking in quality, and that will always make this a difficult recruiting job. The football budget also isn't great relative to some of K-State's competition. But top-shelf facilities and a pipeline to the Kansas jucos helps the Wildcats remain competitive.

63. Kansas Jayhawks

In short, this is a tough, tough place to recruit. KU has an identity as a basketball school that has been hard for recruits to shake, has no football tradition in comparison to its Big 12 competition, and has one of the worst home stadiums in the Power 5. There are multiple battles to fight on the road to recruiting relevance here.
