i hope Ron Prince gets hired somewhere. it seems like it might actually happen.

What makes you think ron has any chance of getting a gig?

rumblings + we deserve this.

Internet stuff, FWIW, makes it look like Pinkel wants out at Mizzou, for whatever reason...not that MU wants to get rid of him. He was pretty vocal about his opposition to leaving the B12 to go to the SEC.

watching #gottlieb4ksu on twitter yesterday was awesome. taking on the DeArmonds and all Mizz fans.

sounds like things are swinging back in beckman's favor.  might get one more year...:sdeek:

I would rather they disband the program than continue with Beckman.  That guy literally couldn't be a bigger piece of worthless crap.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I imagine the Auburn job is tough to hire for right now. "Hey, we fire a coaches only a few years after having undefeated seasons. I'm sure you'd be great!"

"Not only that but we have an NCAA investigation over our heads and you have to out-recruit and beat Nick Saban every year!"

Any chance Dimel gets stolen once this carousel starts spinning?  maybe he is only sexy to us.

Someone tried last year. Definitely possible. But hey, we aren't that great on the eye test so probably no one will want him.

Yeah, but that was little bro coming off of the absolute worst HC in the history of bad HC's.  I mean, I am surprised anyone volunteered to go diving in that dumpster.  Thank god for Chuck.  Very selfless of him to help out like that.  so much so that it makes me feel like it is too much and that he may have gotten some super bad DUI and the judgement, although quite, was for some super amount of community service time or something.

What has Gary Pinkel ever done to make any emaw'r want him here as HC?? Blows my mind

Tennessee will have Top 5 recruiting classes year in year out if they can snag Gruden

There may not be a more overrated coach than Jon Gruden

You have to wonder how many "no"s lil' bro got before they got to him. I don't see a job worth leaving for asking him to coach.

True but kids will see him as the best path to get to the NFL

I think this is more true about basketball than it is football.

Kids are likely to believe what Jon Gruden tells them, if that's what he'd tell them.

Has Gruden ever worked in college?

His highest position as a college coach was a wide receivers coach for a year. He was, however, a graduate assistant at Tennessee for 2 years, so that may be why they think he'll have interest in the job.

Jim Mora, Jr. has done OK. Small sample size, though.

I'm not saying Gruden is a good coach at all, kids see the QB schools he does on ESPN and he's won a SB. Recruiting would be as simple as making a phone call to a kid for him

Know who else is known as a good QB coach with SB rings?

 :dubious:

Gruden's stock has gone up the longer he's been in the announcer's booth it seems.

Gruden won in Oakland (only time its been done in 20 years) and put together a team even Callahan couldn't eff up the next year.  Won a SB and then got fired for mediocrity, not sucking.  Shitty coaches get second chances all the time.  Even if you think the worst Gruden is the real Gruden, that guy is .500

Gruden is a good football coach, no doubt.  Would be great risk/reward ratio for college job.
