I've had ACL's done on both knees so I am somewhat of an authority. My rehab took longer because I am a layman, but I suspect Walker will be running in a straight line well before July. Right now, they want him on the stationary bike, doing stretches to get range of motion back, and doing pathetic, weak quad exercises with exercise bands and controlled leg extensions and leg curls. As the swelling goes away and the leg begins to strengthen, they'll go into wall squats and treadmill walking, followed by treadmill running and then side to side motion stuff and jumping. I suspect he'll be back ready to start playing by July...but no explosion will be seen for awhile. Hopefully, it will be back and he'll confidence in the leg by the time the season starts, but it could be next year sometime, or maybe even after, before we start to see the explosion that is Bill Walker again.
