I think the question is Kobe, LeBron or Melo?
I would not take Kobe. Getting too many games on his odometer and guys like LeBron and Melo are about to replace him as the unqualified elites. Last season, Melo surpassed 9,000 points for his career, and was the second youngest to achieve the feat. Who was first? LeBron. But LeBron entered the league a year younger than Melo did, since Melo was busy winning NC2A championships at the great hoops program which is Syracuse. So there are only two peeps in the category of scorers that Melo and LeBron belong to. I would take either one of them. They both realize they need to win at least a couple C'ships to be in the elite, or else they'll end up like Chris Webber.
