Look, say what you want about the hiring of Ron Prince, but to say Tim Weiser had to be convinced Bob Huggins is the farthest thing from the truth. Huggs was his choice from the moment he made the decision in Dallas on HCJW and he waited exactly the two-week window he was required to wait by the school's hiring standards to announce Huggs. No one convinced Weiser that Huggs was the man. He made the call and Fogler did his job in making it happen. Weiser then convinced others, most notably a certain school president, that Huggs was the right choice. To say it was an easy choice is to entirely ignore that folks at the time thought Huggs couldn't be touched by a school unless it wanted a giant black eye or that Weiser "didn't have the balls to hire him" as many people wrote on this board.
So bag on the Prince hiring if you want, but don't make up facts on the Huggins hiring to support your argument.
