I've been over here a few times but spend most of my time on gpc. Seems like this year KSUFans has been getting some negative advertising from wabash which of course has made me want to check it out more, not mention the famous Terry Pierce letter.
How do you guys see yourself and what's the history behind this board? I've never had as much fun on a board since the old b12 warroom before scout swallowed it. Is this place anything like that?
This board has the most informed fans of K-State and sports in general. However, some of these same people are a collection of douchebag high schoolers led by an Iraqi Al Quaida agent and his sidekick Russell the Mussellhead (aka Rusty the Krusty). We also have a couple of complete assholes, chum1 and sys, who contribute nothing of value other than exposing their general neurosis about being next to another human being (which greatly reduces their chances of reproduction, a sure sign of darwinism's theory of natural selection in play.)
If you can get past the general malfeasance, there are several posters who actually have some decent knowledge, but you have to get through some of the nonsense before you can find it. Always look to any of the administrators, ksu_FAN, yosh, AzCat, and doom (when not on his period) for some excellent analysis and information. A good number of other posters who are generally just trying to become involved when they aren't being attacked by the douchebag brigade. Do not respond to the rebel rousers. Just ignore them and continue to post. We really do want to hear your opinion. The more you allows these yokels to run roughshod over you, the less you'll be able to have meaningful discussion.
This site was started by me back in 2006 for fans that need to express themselves more openly without having to toe the line for what the K-State administration wanted to believe. Fans have expectations and they need to be heard. Despite the generally rude behavior of some of the members, we all want K-State to be successful and this site gives any fan the ability to make their opinions made. Believe me, the administration monitors this site. The site was purchased back in July by former All Big 12 Linebacker from Kansas State, Mr. Terry Pierce. He is adamant about getting the fans in the forefront of the University to help drive the direction of the administration.
You'll find a very dedicated staff of administrators on this staff who moderate with great restraint that allows for freedom of expression which has enhanced the overall experience. Make no mistake, you will be challenged on anything you post. Don't take it personally, fight back. Don't let some high school mush for brains try and sway you to something you believe in. After all, K-State is comprised of a diverse group of individuals. This board is no different.
