I've been over here a few times but spend most of my time on gpc. Seems like this year KSUFans has been getting some negative advertising from wabash which of course has made me want to check it out more, not mention the famous Terry Pierce letter.
How do you guys see yourself and what's the history behind this board? I've never had as much fun on a board since the old b12 warroom before scout swallowed it. Is this place anything like that?
Allow me to begin.....
I came to this board by request a few of the early members here.....and many of them started during the old Big 12 Warzone days. Many of the early members are huge basketball guys...which you don't find on Wabash.
What I am struck by is the quality of discussion overhere versus GPC. Admittedly, I am a complete malcontent and have indeed been banned (more than once) from GPC....but my affection for this board has nothing to do with sour grapes or the like. Getting banned at GPC is really more about boredom than anything else.
This board is no bs. It's hilarious and irreverent, but mostly just plain honest. Tougher to find plumbers and deer rifles on this board, but easier to find real conversation about KSU sports.
Obviously, this board skews younger than GPC demographically, but that's hardly a detriment. The student body is more plugged into this board and many "traditions" and student movements originate here.
If you "hang out" on this board, take some time to read some posts and don't take yourself to seriously...you'll get &@#%ed with over here regularly, but we never have the browbeating and "how dare you" bullcrap that GPC often produces.
