We all know there's been a conspiracy. Only the failures have been recorded.
We all pay too much attention to Icarus, and not enough to his father.

All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
This pickup is what the royals need for pop in there lineup... look at his run producing numbers! 32 homeruns 93 RBIs 27 doubles. The man is just what the Royals needed. Now they need to trade Butler I am sure they can get some good prospects for him.

All in only 477 at bats!

Lower OBP than ROSS GLOAD.

:flush:
This past season was his 3rd full year in the major league. In that span he already has 80 homeruns 247 RBIs a .262 career avg. and 385 hits in 421 games with 1472 at bats... I'd say for a young guy with a lot of power those are pretty good stats to build on for the future.

Is that seriously the only stat you care about? If it is you really have LBIQ. I played baseball for 17 years all the way up through college. If you had power coaches could care less about your OBP because it is your job to get runners in not get on base.

On Base percentage is easily the single most important statistic in baseball when it comes to predicting run production.  (OPS+ is better, but is complex and involves multiple stats.)

whenever ross gload is up to bat, i slowly say (in a very low voice):  GGGGGLLLLLLOOOOOAAAAADDDDD

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Used to see BJames at the sixth street HyVee in Lawrence all the time (once or twice). Unkept.

To sum this up... Mike Jacobs = Great potential. Gload = crap. Jacobs will have an immediate impact in the middle of the lineup. They will trade one of there first basemen you can count on that.

Hard to get 30+ HR potential for next to nothing.  Now though, Butler needs to be on the block.

Jacobs has an OPS+ of 119 where Gload is only at 79. Jacobs' SLG% was almost 200 points higher than
Gloads. Jacobs is a definite upgrade at first base for us. Gload is and always will be a utility man, not an everyday 1b.
