    Not A Basketball Player
“He’s (a crappy KS white running back) big,” Puetz said. “ … How he was hitting some of the players, it was taking two or three people to bring him down.”

I think he's telling how much our defense still sucks. :frown:

We had a Freshman and a Juco guy running the ball Prince's first year.  Didn't pan out too badly.

That Juco guy back then had some other options...our latest one is paying out of state tuition.

Freshman RB @ #2 is not even in the vicinity as bad as two starting freshman offensive tackles but I'm sure we'll hear a great spin job from the phog on that one.

Wave'n is sitting in the weeds anticipating his next clown suiting.  :peek:

What about a walk on as your #1 running back?  But a Freshman from a 3A school in Kansas as your #2 is awesome.  Must have been that 6 carry, 11 yard Shrine Bowl that impressed Prince.

It amazes me how so many people who used to worship Bill Snyder for his ability to find the hidden gem are now trying to discredit Prince when he pulls off a little hidden gem magic of his own.  GMAFB.

Last year it was the whole interior o-line... and ku went 12-1.  This year, it's the offensive tackles.  ku has plenty of depth with guys like Spikes, Hatch, Darton, Wolfe, D-Cunha, etc.  Spikes is the real deal at 6'6 310 and Hatch is too good to keep off the field.  Once again, the o-line and d-line are a huge strength of ku's football program.

Hatch is a stud... out of Texas powerhouse Dallas Carter.  He had offers to A&M, Texas Tech, Arizona, etc.  He's one of the most talented offensive lineman ku has recruited and will be starting at right tackle.  Spikes had offers to programs such as Illinois and Pittsburgh, and would have likely been offered by Ohio State if it wasn't for a knee injury his senior year.  Mangino has had nothing but great things to say about him.  This is the kind of talent that is coming up through ku's football program... outsiders will just have to wait and see for themselves.

Getting back on topic... there are D-2 programs with better depth at running back than K-State.

This is the first I've said anything about ku's new starting tackles.  I guess it's true what the say: ignorance is bliss.  Keep your heads buried in the sand.

ku's football program is leaving K-State in the dust... gap just continues to widen.  Long live the Prince.

After the disembowelment Ben got the other day, I am surprised he's even showing his head with the entrails still hanging out of his arse.

Cantrell did have experience and was in his 4th year in the program...Mayes in his 4th year in the program.  Hartley was an upperclassmen.

And those three competed in a spread vs. similar body types w/ similar quickness.

They were not on an island facing often much smaller ends w/ far superior speed and quickness.

Again, good luck to your freshman OT's.  For any other program but ku this spells trouble...but not where they just plug in freshman(on the hoops team) and things work out.  Seriously...me thinks a freshman in football is a bit different than hoops.

Good luck.

So, honestly, none of you are worried that a young man who played 3A Kansas football last year is an injury to a walk-on away from getting the bulk of carries in the Big 12 conference?  Shrine Bowl performance aside, this doesn't concern you?  Especially since it's well known he was recruited to play safety.  And yes Hatter, I do believe I'd rather have our situation with two new tackles than your RB situation.  So we both should be happy, no?

    The very best.
you cannot compare replacing guards vs tackles in a spread offense.

jesus, learn football.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Aren't you a bit concerned your starting RB might rape a child again?  Mangino might make him sit out the first half of a non-con for that...
