What about a walk on as your #1 running back? But a Freshman from a 3A school in Kansas as your #2 is awesome. Must have been that 6 carry, 11 yard Shrine Bowl that impressed Prince.shrine bowl smack? Again, 2 freshman starting OT's = Last year it was the whole interior o-line... and ku went 12-1. This year, it's the offensive tackles. ku has plenty of depth with guys like Spikes, Hatch, Darton, Wolfe, D-Cunha, etc. Spikes is the real deal at 6'6 310 and Hatch is too good to keep off the field. Once again, the o-line and d-line are a huge strength of ku's football program.

Quote from: Sadman on August 17, 2008, 06:57:21 PMSo, honestly, none of you are worried that a young man who played 3A Kansas football last year is an injury to a walk-on away from getting the bulk of carries in the Big 12 conference? Shrine Bowl performance aside, this doesn't concern you? Especially since it's well known he was recruited to play safety. And yes Hatter, I do believe I'd rather have our situation with two new tackles than your RB situation. So we both should be happy, no?Aren't you a bit concerned your starting RB might rape a child again? Mangino might make him sit out the first half of a non-con for that...

i did see jerremy reed working at the blockbuster store in great bend last night if you need him back.
Is this good or bad news?http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/752122.html
our situation is terrible. But at least we didn't bring in a raper.
Isn't it funny how ku has one good year in football and they end up having S**t brain memories. I do recall ku having a white kid from a small Kansas school ending up being an All-American and then a Pro-Football Hall of Famer. For you ku fans you can't remeber his name was John Riggins.

Good luck with that the year before it was the new starters on defense that didn't worry ku fans. Even with Bill Young that defense finished nearly dead last in the league and gave up mulitple 4th quarter leads. Before that it was the QB situation, before that well I can't even remember but I'm sure it was something. For the record I believe KSU's RB situation is a joke and will cost us games.
ku's football program
Quote from: BMWJayhawk on August 17, 2008, 09:37:42 PMku's football program he keeps doing it....come on man...quit with this. I can't quit and I need to soon.
how could a ku fan be satisfied w/8-4? Jesus, you return your entire team from a 7-1 season.
8-4 would be surprising, and I'd think much less of Mangino.I see 10-2, 9-3 for ku. Maybe 11-1.

Losing two first team All-Americans is returning our entire team? Also losing the leading receiver and rusher? OK, I get sarcasm. Plus everyone's assured me that our schedule was soooooooooo easy last year and this year's will be soooooooooo hard.
Getting back on topic... there are D-2 programs with better depth at running back than K-State.
