Every morning I get up and am jazzed up because I'm going to hit the gym hard after work.  Then, as work comes to a close, I just want to go eat some 'sketti-o's and watch TV instead.  Strategy to get more motivated?  Is the key just lotsa redbull right at the end of the workday?

Recommendation:

Find a sport you are decent at and play pick-up games.  You will do the min. to stay in shape on off-days to play your sport.

Soccer works well for me in this regard.  Haven't lost a ton of weight, but it keeps me safely away from 2 bills.

Yeah, would help but team sports piss me off (inevitably hate teamates for them being "retarded").  Would love to work out in the morning but try to be to work by about 6:30 so no way to get my lazy ass out of bed at 4:30.

Masturbate furiously at least 5 times after work.

Agree. It's the most difficult thing I have ever tried to do (work out on a consistent basis)
I always feel juiced and ready to go after I workout, but before it's like "30 more minutes of sleep sounds WAAAY better."

I tried that diet.  It worked at first, and then I just started taking naps after 1.  Very tough to stay with it, IMO.

i wish you could find pickup b-ball games before work.

back when I lived in sticksville the farmers would play ball early.

Not so in the "city".  :frown:

force yourself to do it for a couple months.  it gets a lot easier to stay motivated once you began seeing results.  getting a trainer also helps.  you don't have to be way out of shape for a trainer to be useful.

See, that's the thing, I did it daily for a couple months and have gradually become very "meh" feeling about it and can't get motivated.  When I started I was all  :dancin: but now am all

I think having a treadmill at home would be money.  When I'm living in the big time I will do this.

Or just getting some 10 lbs weights and lifting with evening tv.

i gotta agree that "working out" is lame.   listen, the crap's lame.
i don't like workout queens or working out all the time, or weight lifters.  especially why lift weights?  worried about having to pick up a boulder?  bottom line is that you should have to make your body/brain do something it doesn't want to do.  ever have a hard time picking up a 12 pack after work? no.  why? because you enjoy it.  life's far too short to waste time doing crap you don't enjoy.

class is dismissed    :users:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I think the key here is being "not fat."  And "attractive to the ladies."  Turns out, floppin' on the couch with my Vista Oreo 'clone, Happy Valley Hot Shredded Beef, 6 Pabst pounders and my freshly packed bong doesn't achieve those ends.

Aahhh, but what if knowing that you did something you don't enjoy because then it would mean you would be able to do the things you enjoy even longer? I had more to add to that run-on sentence but got bored mid run-on.
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

Do you smoke cigs/drink a pot of coffee a day?  Pretty much only way to stay trim without exercise.

steve dave, j/d'ing by your usc-ksu preview....not sure why this is an issue for you.

 :jeffy:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

just go three days a week for an hour each time.  you don't need to be going every day.  work 1-2 specific body parts each day.  if you push yourself for those three hours a week you'll start seeing big changes. as long as you are willing to continually push yourself every time it does become something enjoyable that you'll look forward to.
