Every morning I get up and am jazzed up because I'm going to hit the gym hard after work.  Then, as work comes to a close, I just want to go eat some 'sketti-o's and watch TV instead.  Strategy to get more motivated?  Is the key just lotsa redbull right at the end of the workday?

try doing some cardio before work everyday (mon-fri). then some lifting on mon-wed-fri after work. the huge  plus with doing cardio everyday before work is if your not feeling like doing anything after work at least you got something done for the day. or if you were hungover and didnt make the morning work out here are some fillers...

the above mentioned mon-wed-fri lifting days

then after work on tues-thurs have a jog and abs or some sort of sport.... flag football, hoops, racquet ball, golf (walking), not soccer (its for fags), swimming,  :dancin: softball  :dancin:

the key is to get in a routine and dont break it.
It's not how you play it's the final score...

Shouldn't I be able to squeeze at least one additional workout in per day!?

I was the same way, I wanted to lose some weight a year and a half ago so I started bringing the gym clothes to work with me.  forced myself to go right after I left work.  Sucked ass for the first 2 weeks but then when I started seeing results made it worth it.

I would suggest fork-lift rides to the beach (before work), with snacks of fish and vegetables. You may question the method, but don't question the results. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080810/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/mexico_half_ton_man;_ylt=An5HSPWeXdWC99AxZ8zjbrS3IxIF

Buy some no-xplode. The stuff messes with your head and gets u pumped to work out. It costs like $40 for a tub of it. It also burns fat while building muscle.

Greatest supplement ever.....

I have it on good authority that cireksu sits on a giant inflatable ball at his desk and keeps a pair of lavender 5 lb dumbbells in his trunk (bad for mpg btw)

find something you love to do and work at it. example: i love riding bikes. when i do this i get excited no matter what and it doesn't feel like a workout no matter how hard i go. another good way to go would be to spend a bunch of $$$ on something that will help you work out. this way you can at least use guilt as a motivator.

really it comes down to you.

Wouldn't cocaine/adderall do the trick?

I'll have to try it though, if I ever start working out.

it does work but it's basically just an insane energy drink. used it for 4 months and brought my bench up 45 lbs but when i quit using it i immediately dropped back down.  most creatines are basically a load of sugary bs, jmo.

I misread the subject line, I thought it said, "Who here hates working people?"  I'm up for that but working out I love.

Yeah, that would be a real motivating factor.  Sometimes I'm there and am like, "Whats the point.  Mrs. dave would prolly not care if I was fatter."

asava:  it's probably just a bruise.  I did that last year, and it hurt so bad I was convinced I had broken something, but rib injuries are quite painful, even just bruises.  You might look into getting chest protection and armor if you're biting it a lot or doing downhill.

i hope its a bruise. it definitely hurts to sneeze, laugh or take in deep breaths. landed on a rock pretty hard, but i didn't hear any crack. i don't really care enough to go to a doctor for it. i'll just wait it out. as for chest protection i never really plan on biting it and i don't do much downhill, usually all single track. this trail was just a bit to overgrown and i couldn't see a rock on the inside of a turn. i do have pretty sweet lookin road rash on my arm though.

One time my feet were numb when I got off the elliptical and I almost fell over, don't think I'll go to the doc either, just wait it out.
