Quote
In a speech to Israel's Knesset, Bush said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.

"We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

As usual: W speaks truth, libs foam at the mouth.

The poll number don't surprise me.  With 95% of the media in bed with the far left and more than half the electorate not really old enough to recall the disaster that was Jimmy Carter widespread stupidity is to be expected.

They'll learn.  The hard way.

Oh I won't live to see 40, ask anyone who knows me.   :D

I am, however, old enough to remember the gas lines on television, the 15+% I used to get on CDs when I was a kid, unemployment well over 50% above today's level, nearly 50% declines in the markets, and many of the other wonderful messes that the far left brought us in the early 1970s.  Obama will be even worse but luckily only those slaving away for wages will be unable to profit.

Considering you typically refer to terrorists as "we", this statement is a good thing.

yeah, Saddam was really f'ing our world up in Iraq before we began this war.  Good call by the President to invade Iraq.  Also, it was an even better call to quit worrying about afghanistan (you know, where the terrorists were hiding and we were kicking ass in) and shift practically our entire focus to Iraq to defeat a guy whose only aggressive move towards the US (since we f'ing stomped his ass the first time) was just firing his shotgun in the air.   F'ing bold move by the pres to not only not negotiate with terrorists, but not try to catch them/kill them either.  F'ing brilliant.

you're a f*cking idiot.  ask any returning soldier and ask them how we're doing. we can't help it that the f*cking coward terrorists put roadside bombs everywhere.  look up how many soldiers have actually died from combat fire, you might be dumfounded.  let me ask you this, do you think the Iraqi people are happier now than when they were under suddam's rule?

There wouldn't be any reason why the power at be would mislead soldiers in how the war is going right? I mean morale isn't a very big priority these days.

I really don't care about the iraqi people; I care more about the 4K soldiers that have died in Iraq and how an absolute lie brought their death.  I think about maybe if they were all in afghanistan that maybe less of them would have died and more actual terrorists would have been killed.  I think about how the billions of dollars spent in Iraq might have been cut in half if we had just focused on afghanistan and maybe the money that we didn't have to spend in Iraq could have been reinvested into our economy in some manner instead of into a futile effort in Iraq.  But not for a second do I think about the iraqis.

there's like 6 billion people in the world and we make more all the time.  we aren't going to have a shortage of morons that need pretend jobs anytime soon.  and 4k is like nothing anyways.

forget the soldiers.  dime a dozen.  cry for the tragic waste of money.  beautiful, precious national wealth gone forever.

1.  Fatty's parents who gave me their opinions and an assessment of their relatives living in Iraq.  I realize this is a pathetic sample size.
2.  Lucky for me other people have done polling:
Here: http://abcnews.go.com/US/Story?id=3571504&page=3
here: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/09/27/iraq.poll/
and here
(other middle eastern countries)http://www3.brookings.edu/events/2008/~/media/Files/events/2008/0414_middle_east/0414_middle_east_telhami.pdf]http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/06/13/europe/sweden.php]http://www3.brookings.edu/events/2008/~/media/Files/events/2008/0414_middle_east/0414_middle_east_telhami.pdf
I didn't really look very hard for 2008 numbers, but those paint a pretty clear picture.  Then again, I imagine any polling done in the region is difficult because:
a) it is a fracking warzone
b) there are MILLIONS of refugees fleeing the country as the Iraqi diaspora spreads worldwide (although mostly to Sweden because the U.S. has been embarrassingly slow to provide refuge for even those who have made unbelievable sacrifices to help us http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/06/13/europe/sweden.php although predictably even Sweden is now having to limit its numbers because of the deafening silence of the rest of the Western World http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/07/06/africa/iraq.php)
c) clearly because they are A-Rabs, they are probably lying and just saying they hate America to hurt troop morale (stupefying logic of a probable right-wing talking point)
d) they are being brainwashed by Al-Jazeera (as opposed to the unflappably accurate U.S. media see:Friedman units, WMD evidence, "turning the corner", "imminent victory" and "SURGE!")

yeah, you could say, "well there are probably more terrorists in Afghanistan cuz that's what i've been told", just keep letting the left idiots feed you with crap via the media. the same goes with right media, i don't listen to that sh*t either, i take it from first hand accounts, such as soldiers and officers.  it's the middle east, there are terrorists everywhere, your logic is retarded.  we need to finish the job because it is the "war on terrorism".

    ANGRY AS F*CK
The fact that you believe the propoganda and call it a "war on terrorism" explains your IQ.

You can't bomb an idea.  You kill a "terrorist," and his children become the next generation of "terrorists."

The only way to truly win a "war on terror" is to find out WHY there are disagreements.

(I'll help you out.  This is where you say something like "THOSE MONSTERS DON'T WANT TO TALK!!#!%@^ GWBUSH!")

we weren't "losing" the Vietnam war until after 1969 when JFK started withdrawing troops.  like the war today, winning won't come at a defenite time, it will take DECADES to restore order and bring up the infrastructure. withdrawing a majority of the troops now would be foolish.

Generals on the ground in Afganistan and Iraq are being second-guessed by politicians who are responding to poll numbers which reflect the information (or disinformation) distributed by the media.
