19,000 Iraqi insurgents killed since 2003
4,000 American soldiers

Yeah, that's total ass-kicking right by the terrorists right there

If you want to see an ass kicking, check out the kill ratio in 'Nam!  TOTALLY AWESOME!  We rocked that one.

Tard.
we weren't "losing" the Vietnam war until after 1969 when JFK started withdrawing troops.  like the war today, winning won't come at a defenite time, it will take DECADES to restore order and bring up the infrastructure. withdrawing a majority of the troops now would be foolish.

Generals on the ground in Afganistan and Iraq are being second-guessed by politicians who are responding to poll numbers which reflect the information (or disinformation) distributed by the media.

LOL.  How could JFK withdraw troops 6 years in the grave?

No need to respond to the rest of your drivel.

you're a f*cking idiot.  ask any returning soldier and ask them how we're doing. we can't help it that the f*cking coward terrorists put roadside bombs everywhere.  look up how many soldiers have actually died from combat fire, you might be dumfounded.  let me ask you this, do you think the Iraqi people are happier now than when they were under suddam's rule?

I really don't care about the iraqi people; I care more about the 4K soldiers that have died in Iraq and how an absolute lie brought their death.  I think about maybe if they were all in afghanistan that maybe less of them would have died and more actual terrorists would have been killed.  I think about how the billions of dollars spent in Iraq might have been cut in half if we had just focused on afghanistan and maybe the money that we didn't have to spend in Iraq could have been reinvested into our economy in some manner instead of into a futile effort in Iraq.  But not for a second do I think about the iraqis.
yeah, you could say, "well there are probably more terrorists in Afghanistan cuz that's what i've been told", just keep letting the left idiots feed you with crap via the media. the same goes with right media, i don't listen to that sh*t either, i take it from first hand accounts, such as soldiers and officers.  it's the middle east, there are terrorists everywhere, your logic is retarded.  we need to finish the job because it is the "war on terrorism".

I don't really care about anything you just said.  There was zero need to go into iraq.  zero.  the need was in afghanistan (and still is btw).  the US gained nothing from going to war in iraq except 4K dead soldiers, hundreds of billions of dollars wasted, and it increased fuel costs.  that's it.

Terrorist = someone who causes terror.  Correct?

So while you say that Saddam was a terrorist, one could also say that George Bush is a terrorist, yes?  How many Americans died because of Saddam?  How many Iraqis died because of Bush?

Exactly.

The FACT is that invading Iraq was a horrible decision from the beginning, and is still a horrible decision, no matter how much you want to spin it.  There is no way to "win" a warn on an idea through warfare.

No, i agree with this.  not the terrorist thing, that argument is ridiculous. btw, it is impossible to defeat an idea through warfare, that's why i think it's not the real reason we're there, it's for oil.  but what pissed me off from the beginning is fatty saying that the Iraqis were "winning", but the fact of the matter is, we're still in there country, and we still have power.

God.... I hate the Middle East.  I wish it was gone forever.  If it didn't have oil, it would be a total waste of space on the map.  Even The Sudan has more use than the Middle East.

Just nuke everything from the eastern edge of Israel to the western edge of India.  Halliburton will be glad to drill through the glowing green glassy substance covering the ground afterwards and a bit of trace radiation won't hurt the oil at all.

Oh, and more US soldiers died during Clinton's years in office than will during Bush's two terms despite the fact that under Bush they're fighting two wars.  Save soldiers, elect conservatives!

The Iraqi war is necessary to reduce the world population so americans can have more kids without hurting the economy.

If we can find a way to do it without spending any money, we should kill everyone in the middle east.  Except Israel.  Wait, no, scratch that.  Israel too.  The jews are the worst at hording money and destroying the economy even further.

Also, if I haven't offended anyone yet, your race is inferior, your religion is false, your mother is fat, and your penis is small.

Saddam was a terrorists to his own people, sure, but that has nothing to do with the US.  And it's been proven, time after time, that there was zero reason to go into Iraq....no WMD's, no active nuclear facilities, no connection to al qaeda....nothing.  All that happened is that the US invaded Iraq, lost a lot of soldiers, created alqaeda in iraq, didn't focus on afghanistan and bin laden, and raised oil prices tremendously.  We were getting that oil before we went to Iraq, cheaper than we are now as a matter of fact.

The problem with the war in Iraq/war in general in the 20th century is that the world is too puss/PC.

Now that the world economies are intertwined if some bullcrap group of nations don't like what we're doing for whatever reason they can get together (EU) and put serious pressure on our economy.

If this were 1918-1940 we'd have carpetbomed/firebomed Falluja, Basra, and baghdad, killing tens of thousands but we'd fracking own Iraq and it's oil.

In the final year or so of WWII we were essentially fighting irregular germans and we flattened city after city.

QFT.  When talking about the manner at which the war is fought (not whether or not we should have even gone there).  We had to drop 2 atom bombs on Japan. 2.  Just to get them to surrender.  Non-white/anglican armies and/or regimes are entirely more resilient.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

war between first world countries has been economically nonviable since about 1870.  it has a lot more to do with weapons tech. than pcifcation of attitudes (although, to an extent they go hand in hand).
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Azcat, you're a snark, aren't you?  Nobody could possibly have their head this far up their own ass.

I'm glad somebody has pointed out the stupidity of using the term "terrorists" to talk about Iraq.  We're fighting a guerrilla war against an insurgency.  Nobody is quite sure who is on which side, but it appears that the US Military has sided with the Shiite, pro-Iranian government.   John McSame can't get his puny brain around what's going on in Iraq, so he keeps confusing Al Quaeda and Iran with the Sunni Iraqis--often implying that they are all on the same side, or that our allies are our enemy and vice versa.   Thankfully we've got a wealth of people over here who are too stupid/lazy to understand anything about what's really going on in Iraq, and why it was such a bad idea in the first place.  Fortunately the economy is tanking during an election year so enough people will come around to vote for the right side this time.  Otherwise our ignorant public would be willing to allow this war with no end to go on for 100 years.  When the Democrats finally get around to cleaning this mess up, Bush will say "see I told you it was a good idea."  Thanks for all you've done for us George!
