BASKETBALL UPDATE Arkansas’ men’s basketball team entertained four prospects on unofficial visits Saturday, two of whom are part of the talented 2011 class in Arkansas. Little Rock Parkview forward Aaron Ross, 6-7, 205, and East Poinsett County guard Ky Madden, 6-4, 170, visited with the coaches and took in the football game. Ross orally committed to the Hogs in March, and Madden holds offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, Baylor, West Virginia and Ole Miss.

Conway guard Kenyon Mc-Neil, a 6-1, 170-pound prospect for the 2010 class, also was on hand Saturday, as was Arkansas-Fort Smith sophomore small forward Jenniro Bush, 6-7, 180.
McNeil is drawing interest from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Alabama-Birmingham, UALR and Central Arkansas. Bush has offers from LSU and Alabama and is receiving interest from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Mississippi State and others.

While this is a good find, Bush is an '09 JUCO recruit.  Ark-FS is a JUCO.  Bush was originally an Arky committ in '07.

i saw that.  disappointing.  there's a real chance that 2010 class might suck.  if you just go back and read the 2009 thread from the beginning, we had good players mentioning us left and right.  2010 class -

I've pretty much always counted on the 2010 class sucking.  It's not going to get better after the season starts and recruits see our bubble NIT performance.  Just hope for a single borderline top 100 and a few three star unranked players at this point.

Wooly only had two classes w/ borderline top 100's out of six classes.

Boyd = Martin
top 100ish PG = Willingham
Solid JUCOs = Massey, Williams
Three star unranked = Harris

I would be absolutely thrilled with something like that.  I expect something closer to 02 or 04 however.  With maybe a D1 transfer thrown in to sweeten it up.

I was only in Jr High when it went down, but those were some rumors.  I'm not sure we were willing to take a flyer in him after the mess at Kentucky that he was in.  But he was hired at OSU in 90-91, same year we hired Altman after Kruger left.  I'm not sure how seriously we even looked at Sutton.  So to say we were "close to getting Sutton" may be a stretch.

Spradling visiting this Friday and UNLV on Nov. 15th, hopes to make his choice sometime in Nov. no real new news.
