His video on GP looks very good.  Van Coleman compared him to Nick Calathes at the same age.

his dad is a ksu grad

i talked to his AAU coach at the 'lassic, and he said that UNLV, virginia, and virginia tech are all really interested in this kid right now.  he didn't mention KSU but did say that he was coming to the elite camp again this year.

I have been trying to decide whether I believe that this kid is good, or just hyped because of the geography involved.

He may have grade issues according to BP but then there were allegations that he will try to be here spring semester 08-09 according to Meek, then there was confusion on if that may actually be 09-10 spring semester and then everyone got confused and took naps.

I'm not sure what BP said, but Meek never implied Spring semeseter of the 09-10 year.  He originally said Spring 08, which obviously makes no sense because that semester just ended two weeks ago.  He changed it to Spring 09, which is second semester next season.

BP was likely hearing he had grade issues in reference to him being class 08.  Obviously this is true, as he is attending a prep.  You have to be in really bad shape to not being able to make it in three semesters after your class graduates. (Lat Will is in summer school)  Sutton really had to be screwing off to not get it done.

Not that I want to shun a local kid, especially if he is legit, but doesn't he seem a better fit for ku?

While we're on the local white kid topic, whats up with Jeff Reid, we not gonna have room for him after all in 09, or was he an 08 recruit.  I can't even remember.

Latest on Reid (09) is that he doesn't like us.   IIRC, He really likes Gonzaga and ku.  BUT, this is the 2010 thread.

he's smart and his dad went to isu.  ksu is by far the oddest school of the group.

I think Florida is.  Georgetown and Brown are non-scholly situations at prestigous schools.  He's got an outside shot at a scholly at K-State.  Florida?  WTF?

g'town is not a non-scholly situation.  i think you are underrating parker.  he would appear to be on track for numerous high-major offers.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into the TexasHoops rating.  29th in his class in state of Texas is basically crap.

they probably haven't updated recently (or are just off).  a soph. getting serious interest from duke, uf, g'town, etc. may not end up with offers from those schools, but he'd have to really drop off to not be a high-major.  hell he already has at least one big 12 offer (purportedly).
