He finished his last final of his first semester at ESU on Friday and had a birthday coming up on Tuesday I believe (if not Monday or Wednesday). Thanks for your time thoughts and prayers.ASIcat

When you said he just finished his finals of his 1st semester it really hit home. there were 3 total hunters and they had decoys out and they were all 3 in individual layout blinds, some pochers(sp) drove by and thinking the decoys were real geese shot out of there truck from the road twice, realizing they were only decoys since the geese did not get up. they fled the scene to avoid trouble assuming hunters were present.there are many many illegal things they did here. 1) shooting from the road 2) shooting out of a vehicle 3) shooting on land w/out permission 4) using a rifle on geese is illegal 5) shooting at fowl on the ground and not airborne and the obvious 6) murder.
My thoughts and prayers with the entire family. Actually had a dipcrap fire a shot at my goose decoy spread one morning. Luckily it hit a center pivot that was between us and him. And lets not turn this into an anti hunting/pro hunting discussion. Keep your opinions on that subject to yourself... completely disrespectful.
condolences, hope they catch the guys.this isn't as bad as the farmer in clay county a few years back. he tried to stop some deer poachers from leaving one of his fields and they just shanked him.
