At my job, I have about 80 issues that I need to take care. Unfortunately most days I have more issues coming in then I have time to get fixed--thus the number has increased from 40 to 80 issues in the last few months.
Clients yell at me to work on their stuff first
Supervisors yell at me to work on their stuff first
New issues come in and they are already on the phone, so I must work them first.
Here is how I handle it...fix the squeeky wheel as fast as possible, then I just start going from the top down...by the time I get half way down my list (those I haven't talked to in a month) have either forgotten about the issue or fixed it themselves.
I was big into customer service when I started my job, wanted to get everything finished and help everyone in a timely matter. I gave up. I just do what I can to get through the day and go home. Perhaps someday they will get us some more help because the client base/call volume has only doubled in the last year...no big deal.
