It has always been my impression that the media knows a lot more about football than the coaches.  They know what the f-ck they're talking about.

No, they just watch more games.  Coaches are kinda busy for all that.

"Kids used to hit him and stab him with pencils," says Harley Bennett, Jason's father. "Finally I told him he had to stick up for himself. Jason is not a violent person. One day he hit one of the kids back and got suspended."

I've gotten too comfortable with us being unranked.  This hasn't sunk into my mind yet.  If we do beat Kansas and Colorado, we'll probably be in the top 20 in the nation going into the Oklahoma State game.  Pull it off there (remember we kick ass on the road), and who knows!!!

Holy f-ing crap we are ranked!!!!!!!  This feels so new to me. :'(

Most coaches don't even fill out their ballots, they give them to some grad student assistant to fill out.

You know after being so bad in the olden days and to pick up a coach like snyder and turn it around......then follow up with a good pick in Prince is rare.  Wefald has to be given cudos in all of this as well.  Great to be a wildcat fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What an awesome game and I love the fire that prince brings out in the players!  That is the key.

I wonder if Auburn winning had anything to do with us getting as many votes as we did.

"Who's their one loss to?  Auburn?  Well crap, they're not bad, they just beat Florida @ Florida."

Prince has now proven he can win with "lesser" talent.  We will no doubt start to pick up some of the more highly sought after prospects.  This is usually the formula for a damn good football coach.  Seriously we are f-ing back.

I think you're right, but there are still alot of games to be played... and I want to win them all.

It happened once during the Asbury Era, I think.  1996 probably, since that was our last NCAA year.  We were ranked going to the Cotton Bowl, right?

I'm pretty sure the last time the basketball team was ranked was the 92-93 season.  Where we were #23 for a week.
