Decided I'd start a new topic.  I will be going for $100 with the Martingale system.  Bankroll will be $200,000.  I will bet the spread.  Two posts per day: prediction, and results.  I might do a little research per decision, but not much.

Trust me.  It is.  No one in their right mind would risk 100 dollars to win 11.

There are some odds that are that ridiculous though.  I used to bet on Roger Federer in the first few rounds of tournaments like that.  You would have to risk like 125 bucks to win 10-15 but it's pretty much a given that he won't lose.  The guy is insane and he faces crappy competition in the first couple rounds.  Thankfully it never came back and bit me in the ass.

Tell you what, you post your mock bets all summer, and I'll post my actual ones, and we'll see who has more actual dough at the end.

Peavy is do for a letdown.  He has been unhittable his last 4 or 5 starts.  I'd take the Cubs.   

Edit:  And I would parlay it with the over.

His letdown was last time out, when he only struck out 5 after getting 16, 10, 10, and 10 in the previous four.  And I don't really like the over at Petco.  It feels like a 4-1 kind of night.
