People have said the rennovation at Vanier was done right. I've got friend who toured Vanier tell me that it was still not that great. If doing a $5million end-zone job is being called "done right", then what the hell is Nebraskas $30 End Zone job?
I'll repeat it till the day I die "CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER ATHELETES DESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER FACILITIES" And you can say the same for ANY academic builing. I'm an architecture alum and all 3 programs are ranked in the top 7 in the country, and seaton hall is a @#%$-hole.
I've been through nearly all of Vanier in the past month. I was extremely impressed. Granted, I haven't seen other places, but the upgrades in Vanier improved it a bunch from what I had seen in the past. I don't see how you couldn't sell a recruit with the way it looks now.
And once the limestone face around the base of the stadium is done, I think it will look very nice with the north endzone.
Look, I want our facilities to be the best in the nation, but I also realize the base we have for finances. I don't see what we've done for football facilities the last couple years as being done halfway at all.
