Marshawn Powell is linked to us at both Scout and Rivals.http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=68196
Marshawn Powell, a star for Boo Williams, said he has no offers at the moment but Clemson, Richmond, Kansas State and Oklahoma are interested.
There were several players in the 16-under division of the Peach Jam who are better prospects than Marshawn Powell, but this list is about production today and not promise tomorrow. When evaluating Powell, we've noticed that he consistently produces points and rebounds. A crafty midrange to low-post player, Powell has a quick release on his jump hook and a great up-and-under move. In fact, he seems to thrive against bigger opponents. They are often suckered into trying to dominate Powell, and are often left susceptible to his multiple moves. A high-energy player on the glass, Powell is the type of prospect who can hold a team together through adversity.
Quote 5. The next big thing: There's no debating the Class of 2009 is drastically better than the Class of 2008. Thanks to Renardo Sidney, Xavier Henry, John Riek and Lance Stephenson -- I've seen them all; they're all really good -- the nation's best rising juniors are superior to the nation's best rising seniors, and another Class of 2009 star who proved his worth here at the Peach Jam is a kid named DeShonte Riley. He's really good too.Riley is a 6-9 center who had eight points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks in the title game, this after getting nine points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocks in the semifinals. He plays for The Family and is being recruited by all the big hitters like Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Kansas State and Georgetown. But I'm confident Kenny Payne jotted Riley's number on a piece of paper before heading back to Oregon, and if I were him I'd get you-know-who on the phone, ASAP. http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/10258249/2

"A lot of colleges have been picking up on me and are interested," Cunningham said. "I'm just grateful. I like to see the letters come to the house. I like hearing from college coaches. It's still fun."New Santa Clara coach Kerry Keating, who followed Cunningham's development while Keating was an assistant at UCLA, reportedly has offered a scholarship.Arizona State is coming on hard, and Cunningham has received phone calls from Cal, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, Oregon, Gonzaga, UC Santa Barbara and Pacific, plus others he can't immediately recall.
Grege Smith was added on Scout. Showing low interest...but who knows if his favs ('Zona & UCLA) will offer?http://kansasstate.scout.com/a.z?s=173&p=8&c=1&nid=3117279

Corey Jefferson 6'9 C/PF 2009 Killeen, TX-Teammate of Henson on the Texas D1 Ambassadors, Jefferson is also an athletic LONG/THIN front court guy, he challenges shots, scores from mid-range and has drawn positive comparisons to 2008's Terrence Henry. There are a few players in the class of 2009 that are starting to separate themselves as must get players for teams from coast to coast. One of those guys is Texas D1 Ambassadors forward John Henson and his teammate Cory Jefferson is close behind. The 6-foot-10 thin big men are certainly no strangers to the high-major attention. Since both really emerging in the spring and consistently playing well at the national events, the duo has established themselves as very attractive prospects.Henson is one of the most unique players in the 2009 class. Against Team Davis on Thursday morning, the Round Rock (Texas) native put in a modest 13 points but he also blocked seven shots and grabbed nine rebounds all the while playing three positions.Just how good is Henson? He has as much upside as anyone in the class. It has been encouraging to see him tap into it this summer.Henson said he has offers from Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Marquette, Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M, Arizona and Kansas State. Florida and Ohio State are also hot on his trail.Jefferson was equally effective, scoring 11 points while grabbing 11 rebounds and blocking three shots. The offer list for Jefferson includes Marquette
I'm kind of scared of how long we've had to wait for a signee.
