We are better of scheduling the Minnesota, Kentucky, Iowa's of the world. Games that will still get a national tv audience, a good chance of being a competitive game and maybe actually recruiting a kid who doesn't see much of a difference between St. Paul, MN and Manhattan, KS.

I don't think there's a significant difference between playing Iowa and playing Arizona/Washington/Miami.

i wonder why it took so long for leavitt to be formally added to 49er staff then. there had to have been dialog between him and some other possible employer that was holding things up or he would've taken the 49er job formally a week ago though, right?

i am sure that the coaches are in charge of their own stafffs. they are not in charge of hciw type stuff though. good for currie. leavitt and snyder probably wanted it and currie told them to eff off.

"talked to someone 5 minutes ago that rubs elbows with people in the AD, football office, and $ fairly often...he said he's spoken to 2 people in the last 12 hours, 1 says Matt Wallerstedt and KSU have talked but no idea how much and the other person says no way he's coming...take it fwiw"
