Let this serve an important lesson for all of you ignorant dumbasses on here that strive for excellence in your personal and professional lives and have an expectation of more from this university than status quo mediocrity for as long as it remains in existence.

You're young and you will never understand that aspiring for higher levels of achievement here is a futile waste of time.  Accept what you have, enshrine it forever, and never strive for anything more.

ONE man has EVER won consistently in this state in Football..LHCBS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of you younger folk just cant understand that....no one...no one living...over 110 years of football. For all we know no one can. And after year TWO of a rebuild and going to a bowl game...a couple of plays from 9-4...you somehow think he is the problem.

Want it now get it now spoiled brats who have no concept of hard work, what it takes to win in Football in the Big 12 in a Kansas school surrounded by giants.

Cracks me up.....makes me cry....either way this Y generation (which I am sorry I on the fringe of) needs to shut up and realize you enjoy the process and respect what others have done especially you would crap all over yourselves if you tried to do.

If LHCBS goes 7-5 for the next three years in a row that will be one of the greatest 4 year runs at KSU or KU in history and he has earned the right for us to let him try and give our support.

For those fakers on the board get a life..please find someone who loves you....for those KSU'ers who trash Coach..you aint fit to pick up after his dog..period.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

If I was hired AD:

  • Keep OB as the face of the program to keep the fans and shirt tucks happy and keep the money flowing.
  • Hire Mike Leach as OC
  • Hire Matt Wallerstedt as DC
  • Hire Frank Wilson as Recruiting Coordinator (offer him some big buck)
  • Fill out the staff with some young assistants
  • Schedule some opponents like USC, Miami, Arizona, Washinton, etc. to establish the program in those markets and gain some exposure
  • Tell OB to pick up the phone and start calling all of our boosters and giving them some sh*t about how we need money to take the program to the next level, and pimp the hell out BSFS

Prince already tried this. This will do nothing but hurt our program.

That's pure dumbshittery.  There are plenty of benefits to playing high-profile games on TV.

Yes, every once in a while. But filling your schedule every year with them is a bad idea.

Only difference is there's like 4 Washington States in the Big 12.

Its not a high-profile game if you suck. Does anyone care about the interleague match-up between the Royals and Philllies? No.

Furthermore, even if KSU was good we still couldn't compete with the out of conference games that happen now. Ohio State vs. USC, Virginia Tech vs. Alabama, etc, etc, A good KSU never garners that type of attention that these teams bring one another. And lets assume we get more "exposure" in these markets. It still won't bring a kid out of the state. They are entrenched.

We are better of scheduling the Minnesota, Kentucky, Iowa's of the world. Games that will still get a national tv audience, a good chance of being a competitive game and maybe actually recruiting a kid who doesn't see much of a difference between St. Paul, MN and Manhattan, KS.

I just wasn't comfortable with K-State being on Vandy's level academically.

you need a coach like a martin or a huggins.  someone with a charismatic, camera-loved personality and enough hint of slime that impartial fans will love to hate him.  there aren't enough kstate fans to matter, and just being good isn't enough to be the washington generals to whomever the network wants to feature.  you need a coach that impartials will tune in for, with the hope of seeing him lose.

not sure who that would be.  fball coaches are really boring compared to bball coaches.

Is there a recruit outside the state of Kansas that even knows who LHC Bill Snyder is?

The last time K-State got any semblance of national exposure under Snyder was 2003 after the Big 12 title game. That was eight years ago, when recruits were 9, 10 or 11 years old.

Meh, when we stop going, Currie will make a move.  And by move, I mean get a better job.

And then the meltdown will REALLY kick in.  Snyder will have actually destroyed the entire AD.

yeah, currie sure as hell isn't going to be a villain at a stepping stone job.

He's probably hoping Frank Bolts so he can make a bball hire to add to his resume.
