I Especially agree with this:

"Fair or not, fans see Leavitt as a referendum on the program's future. If Snyder shuffles his defensive staff, it's a sign he is willing to recognize a weakness and address it.

If not, it's a vote for the status quo, an indication that fans shouldn't expect radical change — or radical improvement — for as long as Snyder remains at the helm.

Who knows if those perceptions are accurate, but public opinion is one factor Currie must consider as he surveys K-State's football future. Fans want a graceful transition, but they also want to know the program is building toward something."

Thanks for reading Austin!

"known Jim since we were at MU in late 70's. Truth is, he didn't win enough conference games.  Woolward (ad), just wanted him gone.  He didn't hire him and Jim suspects the boosters were on him hard. It's Florida and they want to be on the level of the gators, seminoles and hurricanes.  Doug did not even have ONE conversation with Jim before launching the investigation....only talked to him at the termination table after pulling him off the road recruiting. In over 30 years coaching this is the first inkling of abusing players.  As for lying, he says he didn't do it and no one asked for his side. A player showed up in his office one night and he told him to tell the truth.  No lying, no coverup.  I just want the truth out there.

He's going to 49rs.  Bill offered him co-dc at K st.  He was pretty torn, but the hciw was not discussed and he doesn't trust ad's anymore.  Harbaugh is the hottest deal going and he feels he will learn alot.  Then maybe get back into college coaching down the road.  He loves Snyder and appreciated the offer."

Sooo...he's headed to San Fran to coach/teach All World Patrick Willis?  imagine what happens when Willis misses the pro bowl

The beauty of this, from a guiding fiction perspective, is that it shifts all blame onto the untrustworthy "young AD" while adding another polish of shine onto the classy "old legend."
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I really don't give a crap about not getting Jim Leavitt, he wasn't going to solve anything.  But, it does provide an excellent example of how our football program is completely mumped as long as LHC Bill Snyder is at the helm.  Cut the head off the snake Currie.  eff the old haters, goEMAW has your back.

i think the silver lining here is that its going to allow for a shot at a disaster 4-8 type season which could and should get snyder ousted one way or another.

I'm all for everyone having their own opinion, but I'm sick and tired of these fuckers that go on message boards and basically demand that everyone sit around and sing Kumbaya and talk about how great everything is...even though everything ALWAYS rough ridin' SUCKS!!!

goddammit 42...now I'm all in a bad mood 'n stuff.  :curse:

I hope they make a documentary about our fanbase one day. There is absolutely no way a comparable group exists at the professional or BCS level. Hell, you can probably get fired at MAC schools for being mediocre. Just look at Toledo.

What fans are you speaking for?...

I'm a looooong time KSU fan and I trust Currie. He's earned it. I don't need to know anything about their plan. Austin Meek trying to speak for KSU fans and tell Currie how to go about his business.... Funny stuff!

I'd punch this guy in the face if I ever saw him. For all three of his comments at the end of the article.

Want to get even more depressed about the situation?

Picture our Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) fanbase's reaction if Currie tries to hire a black coach to replace OB

I probably should not have said anything. I can not say anything else as this is a pretty sensative situation. But from what I got out of the email, there will be a lot of surprised CAT fans. Remember when someone posted earlier this week that they spoke with a coach and he said it was going to get crazy? Well, that is exactly what it is going to get from what I got out of the email. I am sorry, and I will delete my original post if I need to.

And as we all know as quatz fans, "surprise" is just another word for biggest KITN possible.

Why?  He started this mess to begin with.

Thing is, what you call really good news is what any big time school would just call common sense. You have a historically bad defense, you fire your coordinator. You have a real good coach out there with ties to your school in perfect position to come replace him, you do whatever it takes to lock the guy up.

And as we all know as quatz fans, "surprise" is just another word for biggest KITN possible.

If the big surprise turns out to be really good news I fully expect all guilty parties to issue full apologies for the nasty things posted on this board about LHC Bill Snyder.

Why?  He started this mess to begin with.

I should apologize for saying he should do what he's supposed to do?

Nothing wrong with wanting Cosh fired and Leavitt hired.  I wholeheartedly agree.  I just wish people weren't so mean and nasty about it, jumping to conclusions, etc.  The man has earned my respect, and I'm sure he knows as well as anyone that the defense sucked last year.  With that in mind, my comment was partly tongue in cheek, meaning we can LOL at the notion of internet tough guys apologizing for past comments on a message board.

Super mega gpc insider posts about the super-insidery email he just received:

I probably should not have said anything. I can not say anything else as this is a pretty sensative situation. But from what I got out of the email, there will be a lot of surprised CAT fans. Remember when someone posted earlier this week that they spoke with a coach and he said it was going to get crazy? Well, that is exactly what it is going to get from what I got out of the email. I am sorry, and I will delete my original post if I need to.

just because you helped to build something doesn't mean you have the right to tear it down.
