You just can't recruit wives to Manhattan. Screw a new football complex. We obviously need to put in a Curves and a fro-yo place (or whatever women do during the day).
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

"Or just push her into the sink and tell her she's going anyway," said Bill Self.

I Especially agree with this:

"Fair or not, fans see Leavitt as a referendum on the program's future. If Snyder shuffles his defensive staff, it's a sign he is willing to recognize a weakness and address it.

If not, it's a vote for the status quo, an indication that fans shouldn't expect radical change — or radical improvement — for as long as Snyder remains at the helm.

Who knows if those perceptions are accurate, but public opinion is one factor Currie must consider as he surveys K-State's football future. Fans want a graceful transition, but they also want to know the program is building toward something."

I'm a looooong time KSU fan and I trust Currie. He's earned it. I don't need to know anything about their plan. Austin Meek trying to speak for KSU fans and tell Currie how to go about his business.... Funny stuff!

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Austin has so eloquently synthesized our sentiment and put it into the public eye.

Thank you austin.   :kstatriot:

Saw that yesterday. Pretty much definitely not getting him unless Synds retires and he becomes HC.

"known Jim since we were at MU in late 70's. Truth is, he didn't win enough conference games.  Woolward (ad), just wanted him gone.  He didn't hire him and Jim suspects the boosters were on him hard. It's Florida and they want to be on the level of the gators, seminoles and hurricanes.  Doug did not even have ONE conversation with Jim before launching the investigation....only talked to him at the termination table after pulling him off the road recruiting. In over 30 years coaching this is the first inkling of abusing players.  As for lying, he says he didn't do it and no one asked for his side. A player showed up in his office one night and he told him to tell the truth.  No lying, no coverup.  I just want the truth out there.

He's going to 49rs.  Bill offered him co-dc at K st.  He was pretty torn, but the hciw was not discussed and he doesn't trust ad's anymore.  Harbaugh is the hottest deal going and he feels he will learn alot.  Then maybe get back into college coaching down the road.  He loves Snyder and appreciated the offer."
