I like to think officer Daris has a double stacked barrel heater and he is just shoveling corn cobs into that SOB 24/7

I’ve been heating my whole house with just my fireplace last night and today. It (fireplace) is the only really nice thing about my house and I love it so so much. ??

Gas?

we have one in basement and one upstairs. may try this out. is it cheaper, more expensive or similar cost wise?

how on earth is this possible?

how is what possible?

It’s wood burning fireplace and forced air or something. So I start a fire and then flick a little light switch next to it and then operate the strength of the fan with a twisty knob. I don’t even have this thing full on and it’s heating my entire house. Currently 69 ( ;) ) in the living room/kitchen area. I had it up to 70 earlier today but my heat hating wife made me turn the blower off for a few hours. I love it so much.

Oh yeah that will for sure do the trick. I have family that used to heat their old farmhouse w/ a pellet stove/forced air. They didnt have ac either, just an attic fan.

Their house was always comfortable. A little hot in winter for my liking tbh
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Don’t I wish! I think it’s mostly oak and walnut. It’s also just a regular looking fireplace built into the wall not a wood burning stove or anything. Buy it by the truckload from different friendly pott county residents.

This sounds amazing. The old farmhouse at the cat ranch has a large stone fireplace on a perimeter wall with some vents at the top and bottom of the stone portion. When you get a fire going the convection will run air from the bottom to the top and the top vents will spit out warm air all night even after the fire is out due to the stone still being warm.

Works great for heating the living room but you still have to use the regular propane furnace to keep the bedrooms warm.

Thinking about how people heated homes of various sizes and qualities before gas and electrical heat is pretty interesting.

My pup normally has limitless enthusiasm for being outside but one lap around the block is about all he can stand. It is freaking cold outside.

Here’s the thing Rick, if you cut your own wood it’ll warm you twice.

yeah, ours procrastinated too long last night and couldn't poop due to regret. Was expecting to find a big bow-wrapped turd on our floor this morning. But she held until letting her out this morning.
