Isn't Chatkevicius reclassifying for 13?

there was some speculation of that.   but, I mean, if we whiff on every other recruit we do have one spot to fill so reclassifying may not be needed.  :embarrassed:

yeah, guessing Frank knows Upshaw aint coming here.

10. Robert Upshaw (No. 40)

Considering: Kansas State, Fresno State, Georgetown, Louisville
Down to four and likely to make a decision in the next week or two. Fresno native has his hometown school high, but Louisville also feels good.
Prediction: Louisville

Not saying we get him, but we have a couple prime potential run offs.   :dunno:

9:58: Have been doing some digging on Robert Upshaw and his decision. One coach involved in his recruitment said, "Not signing today." Louisville, Fresno State, Georgetown and Kansas State are involved. Louisville and Georgetown may be the leaders here. (ED

Still, Chatkevicius' eligibility for next season is in question The Lithuania-born center may or may not need an extra year of prep school to become eligible to play for the Wildcats, but nothing on that front has been decided yet. As of now, the expectation is that he will be wearing purple by the time the 2012-13 tips off.

I feel like I should be really upset about this, but the odds of him probably reclassifying and never coming here or coming here and getting run off within two years seems relatively high.

I guess given the status quo, if he's worth something, he'll stay.  If he's not, he'll be gone by the time he's a junior (if not before).  I mean, if it works out, great.  If not, he'll move to some small school in Ohio or something to be closer to Eastern Europe and some ailing Great Uncle.

The last of the GRCOAT graduated last season, and that was the Huggins factor.

This season will be very telling as to how much marginal talent can be coached up considering we don't have a single guy that even made All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Love Frank, but his ability to close on the recruiting trail has become very Woolyish.

Apparently you say "Fat Jason Bennett", "Laimonis Chatkevicius" in Latvian.
