Cauley is the 47th overall ranked player and the 10th ranked center in the country. With his 6-10, 210 pound frame he is one of the best shotblocker’s in the nation. He played well in last week’s Nike EYBL qualifier and had an epic battle with Isaiah Austin from Texas. Cauley needs to add weight and strength in order to be competitive on the college level, but according to ESPN’s John Stovall, he is no longer a prospect. Cauley is a player. He’s considering Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, USC and New Mexico.

haughton and kasey hill on page 3.

Murphy mention from NE Hoops festival, also has pretty good writeup on Murphy's AAU teammate Daniel Dingle but I do not believe the KSU Cats are actively recruiting him at this time.

• PF Kamari Murphy (Brooklyn, N.Y./Lincoln) seemed to come and go this weekend for the Long Island Lightning Gold, but brought his game to another level when the lights were on the brightest, taking over in the final 10 minutes against Juice to show a complete skill set and scoring arsenal that ranged from the block to the elbow to the arc.

Smith still claiming an offer from the KSU Cats:

"Shawn Smith listed South Carolina, Kansas State, Cincinnati, and Florida State offers. Also he is hearing from West Virginia and Louisville. "

And as he reported in his own words via twitter, it sounds like he had a rough time adjusting to running with NTF this past weekend:

"Shawn Smith, SG, Nike Team Florida – A lot of hype has been surrounding Smith this year, but he wasn’t quite able to back it up with his play. A good athlete who can get to the rim, Smith doesn’t play with that consistent energy in him. Also his shot can look good, but it is inconsistent. There is some definite upside to work with, he just needs to bring it productivity"

As far as I can tell, they had all 3 but it doesn't sound like it produced the best results this weekend, need to recruit more role players.  :dubious:

more on cauley playing well over the weekend.

Quote
Willie Cauley (2012, MoKan Elite)
An athletic 6-foot-10 center, Cauley is making the move from being a promising prospect to being a legit high level prospect. Talented around the rim as a rebounder, shot blocker and scorer, Cauley also moves his feet well in pick and roll situations on the perimeter and offensively he is a threat to attack the basket from the high post.

Maybe we start a thread for the Cauley information that is called.  "Recruits we should land if we want but there is no way in hell we will"

dsr doesn't mention kstate.  coachless miami mention shoves martin's face further into the sand.

also this on cauley.

Quote
HAMPTON, Va. – Although he was giving up around 65 pounds to DaJuan Coleman, Willie Cauley showed flashes as to why he’s one of the nation’s fastest-rising big men in the country.

Cauley has trouble with Coleman’s strength and size, but he was able to give Coleman problems with his length and athleticism defensively. Cauley runs the floor well and can finish at the rim, and is also solid on the offensive glass.

“I played well, but there are some things I can improve,” Cauley said. “I had some problems with how strong he is.”

In terms of recruiting, the 6-foot-11 center from Olathe Northwest (Kan.) said he is hearing from the entire Big 12, as well as Florida, Alabama and Georgia.

WBN:  Which coaches are paying you the most attention right now?
PE:  I would say probably Kentucky, Kansas and K State are right now.

WBN:  What is your decision making process and when do you expect to make a decision?
PE:  I plan to re-evaluate my list this summer. I plan to take official visits this fall and hope to sign early signing period in November.

WBN:  What has been the weirdest or most amusing thing that has occurred during your recruitment?
PE:  I honestly can’t think of anything really.

Glowing review for ACD PG Ian Baker included in update(free) linked below. Scout updates from this past weekend also had good things to say about his game. KSU was said to be "heavily involved" in his recruitment last Spring but now he doesn't appear to be a primary target of ours, lists Providence, Boston College, Central Florida, Seton Hall, and East Carolina.

i'd think that spradling & ar-t in the '10 & '11 classes would mean kstate would hold off till '13 before taking another pg?

I dont know if this has been posted or not but there seems to be alot of speculation on if AR is going to sign with KSU according to this article what Martin does not sound like it will affect AR's decision to come to KSU.  As others I still say I will believe it when I see it but keeping the fingers crossed.
