Willie Cauley, C, MoKan Elite- A fluid, 6-foot-10 big man, Cauley has an awful lot to work with. He runs the floor, alters or changes a ton of shots and is an outstanding passer when doubled. His offense is coming along but there are times where he's a little timid. For stretches, though, Cauley dominated action on both ends of the floor and is a kid with significant potential.

Cauley is JHR in big 12 country.

Why, because both are tall & skinny?  JO never has been timid, if he was timid he'd be awful.

Love when he gets really aggressive and does a spin move from the free throw line and drives to the hoop.  Very fun to watch, and he's pretty hard to stop.  Hope he does that more.

The list of seven footers who can really run is pretty extensive

I mean it's not like every single time someone evaluates Cauley they mention he can run. He's a JHR clone.

remember how jason bennett was built like a normal person (other than neck) but in freakishly tall dimensions?  man, I wish he wouldn't have been such a dumbfuck.

All I know is that Cauley did not completely dominate his league full of MIAA and rec players.

All I know is that Cauley did not completely dominate his league full of MIAA and rec players.

He's been very good last offseason and so far this offseason at camps and traveling team tournaments.  Sometimes 16 year olds struggle with consistency against inferior competition.  Ellis has gotten better with this.

As far as differences between Cauley & JO.  I didnt see JO in high school but it appears to me that Cauley seems more comfortable with his back to the basket & accepting contact from defenders.  Obviously with their body type there is going to be some duplicity with look & skills, but there are some differences in their game.  That being said I have no idea what role Cauley would fill with what we think the roster will look like in 12-13.

Sitting on the bench and developing while JHR and Diaz take all of the minutes.
