Tamir Goodman, the "Jewish Jordan", was from Baltimore.  I refereed one of his high school games.  Nice small school player, but highly overrated.  Gary Williams offered him a scholly then withdrew the offer after he found out he wouldn't play on Saturdays.

Potential new recruit, Daniel Dingle 6'7" 220 combo F from Bronx. KSU pops up on Rivals profile but he doesn't specifically mention us in any updates that I could find. 1 connection is that he is Doug Edwards' 1st cousin, fairly impressive offer list to date, could be a name to watch.

Fire? LOL.

Hell, all I did to find the Dingle update was check the GPC ticker, which is an incredibly easy yet woefully overlooked way to follow our recruiting.

Basically any idiot can do it, it's just that most over at GPC either forget to check it regularly or they simply don't care.

The latest nugget on there is that Cauley is visiting OK St this weekend and Torian Graham is visitng Villanova.

Smart update from UT Scout site. Cliffs notes

- Only trip so far was an unofficial to Baylor early this past summer

- Really wants to improve his mid-range game, says ability to score there separates great players from good ones. Also working on his handle.

- Primary schools after him right now are KSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor "and a lot of other B12 schools." No favorite at this point, really didn't have a favorite growing up

- Describing his own style of play "Very intense, hard working, never want to lose type of player"

Whispers update from Jerry Meyer has blurb on Ridley, KSU mentioned again, will be interesting to see how long our staff hangs in on this one:

"Ridley now has offers from Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M, Georgetown, North Carolina and Utah. Strong interest is coming in from Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State."

i don't recall seeing this before, too lazy to check if it was posted.

Quote
2012 – Shawn Smith, 6’4 Combo Guard, Arlington Country Day: Shawn Smith is a no brainer high major player. Smith makes big time moves on the offensive end, and uses his size and effort to hold his own on the defensive end. He is a very skilled scorer who shoots it well from deep, has a great one dribble pull u and uses crafty runners and floaters around the rim. Shawn really knows how to play the game, and plays it very unselfishly. He does a great job of getting his teammates involved and using his skill level to make his teammates better. One factor that is important to Smith is his education and playing time at the next level. Shawn currently has offers from West Virginia, Kansas State, Florida State, and Ole Miss, to go along with interest from Clemson, Missouri and Cincinnati.

these too, for good measure.

Quote
2012 – Carlos Morris, 6’5 Guard, Arlington Country Day: Morris is long and very aggressive on the offensive end. Carlos has the ability to be a play maker and a game changer at any time because of his deep range and ability to shoot the basketball. Morris tends to float around the perimeter and settle for three’s too often, but if he develops a midrange game and buys into attacking the rim he could become an efficient score. One thing is certain, Carlos Morris has a lot of potential and his best basketball days are ahead of him. He is currently drawing interest from High Point, Cincinnati, Miami, Missouri, Georgia and Georgia State.

Quote
2012 – Ian Baker, 6’1 Point Guard, Arlington Country Day: Baker is a true point guard who knows his role. Ian does a great job of facilitating the ball, and shows a natural ability to make his teammates better. He showed a very high basketball IQ, and displayed the ability to stretch the defense with his perimeter shot. Baker used his tight handle to get to the rim using both hands to finish, and get his defender on his hips for midrange floaters. Ian has offers from Seton Hall, UCF and Boston College. Baker also has strong interest from Kansas State, WVU and Cincinnati.

This may or not have anything to do w/KSU recruiting but I'm posting it anyway. Tyler Lewis, 3* Top 150 PG, commits to NC St. So that's a 5* PG in the class of '10(Harrow) and a Top 150 PG in the class of '12 for the Pack and similar to Rodriguez they're both 6' and under. Make whatever conclusions you want from this ...

Calipari is 100% black angus stud, love the guy.  hope you "got" my angus reference.  a black angus is more than ten times better than a regular angus.
