I have heard a story of his sleaziness from a friend of Michael Dixon's dad. He's a slime ball.  It will be hilarious when Baylor gets caught. After their last problems, you would think Baylor would not choose another slimy coach.

drew's not going to get caught.  only idiots or people with very, very bad luck get caught.  drew isn't either.

Everyone gets caught...after they leave town and it can no longer effect them.

art alvarez, always gold.

good update by cassidy.  wish some bold sportswriter would confront martin on the numbers issue.

Also included in this fine update is that we've basically backed off McCullough. If you've seen the kid play, this shouldn't be come as a big surprise. Right now, he has the game of a relatively unathletic 4 in a wing's body. But, hey, there's still time for him to improve(and grow :crossfingers:)

Update does say Missouri has contacted him  :surprised:, go get 'em CMA!

Man, even the mid-major big men in 2012 seem to have size. Bumper crop ahead.

I would add to that list the media scrutiny as a variable. Big programs may be better at cheating and have more cash to throw around but it must be nice being hidden for the time being in Waco where as far as we know no media exists. Drew just stuffs his pockets with cash when he gives a recruit a tour and makes it rain the whole time they walk around.

Actually, I could see Drew getting nailed.  No way does the NCAA hammer a UNC, Duke, UCLA, or Kentucky.  They're have to make an example out of somebody and it might as well be Baylor, again.

yeah, lots of retards think like that.

the reason you think they hammer havenots instead of haves is 'cause there are like 5 haves, and like 300 havenots.  that and you're a dumbass.

Or it's cause schools like USC get off with a 2 year postseason ban and schools like SMU get the death penalty.  Sys, you really got to get off this "I'm smarter than everyone else" high horse because you're not and you just look like a bigger douche every day. Scouring the interwebs 24/7 to look for signs that KSU isn't doing the correct things doesn't mean you're smart, it means you are a sad little man with zero outside interests and a weird self-loathing complex.

He didn't mean you are actually Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  What he meant to say is that what you post sober is worse than what I post at my drunkest.  In other words, while you may be slightly smart than an actual Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), you are the most likely person on here to lose at chess or, hungry hungry hippos, or some other game that requires brain function to a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Except that any big violation is almost always discovered by the media, while the NCAA "investigates" and hopes it all just sorta goes away. Only when they're out of options and the public wants somebody's head will they hand down any sort of punishment. USC football was about as untouchable as they come, but even they couldn't run away from that media market.

We're now recruiting Shawn Smith, 6'3" 175 SG from Jacksonville ACD. If you're a frequent visitor to this thread, you'd know that we're also recruiting his HS and AAU teammate, Ian Baker, 6'1" 175 PG. Smith believes KSU is close to offering him, in a more recent Scout update he stated his leaders at this point are Fla St and Cincy. Vid of him linked at bottom:

"Cincinnati and South Florida offered me this week too," he said. "I already had offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, High Point, and Cleveland State. My coach told me that he talked to Coach (Bob) Huggins this week and that West Virginia might offer me real soon. Kansas State is close to offering, too."

How often do kids that sign that early actually honor their commitment?  Seems like most kids end up signing somewhere else...  :dunno:

Yeah, I guess committing during your junior year isn't uncommon.  Guess the whole U-16 thing kinda threw me a bit.

Scout update on Jordan Granger from St. Louis(U) site. Granger is a 6'8" 180 combo F from St. Loius, McCluer North HS. HC there is early 80's EMAW Randy Reed.

FWIW, Granger will be teammates this year with class of '11 5* Combo G BJ Young but I've never seen us in connection with Young. Young certainly has the big-time game but is said to be a major academic risk.

It's stated in the update that Granger has heard from doctors that he could possibly grow to 6'10". Per the update, he recently received an offer from SLU and also has interest from Arizona, Illinois, Tennessee, UNLV, Missouri, Kansas State, Murray State, Wichita State, Missouri State, Detroit and Michigan.
