Whatever happens, Frank and his AD have a mess now. He's had an apology and a suspension in one year. ESPN already puts a camera on him, now they'll probably put two. Plus he's not winning.

I wonder if being at a football school is a plus or minus, here.  You either get a little more slack because basketball isn't the focus, or the AD looks at you as a hassle and would rather can you than deal with you.

Honestly, I think Frank would do better at a school where basketball is the main focus.

I think he'd do really well in the Big East or A10.  Just go somewhere that they can build on his brand and they're too desperate to lose him to get in the way of Frank being Frank.

His problem here and at SC, other than just the AD issues, is that he's second fiddle to a demigod football coach.  He was the complete antithesis to Snyder, and SC already has a loose lipped nationally recognized coach.  In either circumstance, he's either too different or too similar.

I'm sure he'll get another shot at some point.  But I think he's reaching the tipping point in SC, and it's leaning to the bad.

Good point.  Basketball is arguably third string after baseball there, too.

So, the AD is paying a guy he continually reprimands over two million a year, and there's a good chance that Frank will finish in the bottom fourth of the conference for a second year in a row.

Taking personal feelings about Frank (positive or negative) out of the equation, it's just a bad situation.

I think he will be fine.   Returns four starters and has two top 150 guys coming in for next year.  Even making the NIT and showing significant improvement on this year should give him more time.

Frank was great fun, I was as Frankite as they come. But I still think he took a dumb job and I was never going to be more loyal to Frank than K-State. I don't wish for him to fail, but I really don't care that much other than he's a former coach here.

At K-State, I like what I see so far and I'm fully #bruceketball now.

I liked Frank.  I hope he does well.  I just don't think he made a wise move because he made an emotional decision versus a logical one.  Or that's how I presume it went down anyway.

this wasn't ever true despite what many thought and if you can't figure it out, these latest events only solidify the fact that currie made the right choice by not chasing after him.
