What does everyone have planned for points travel over the next 12 months? I've got:
-Chicago with some bros in early September flying SW and staying 2 nights at an Embassey Suites
-4 Nights in NYC on an old AXON (RIP) Hilton award in early October flying United direct (paid one way and points the other)
-2 rooms for 2 nights in Tulsa in late Oct. at a Doubletree that's only 10k a night so I'm scared that it's going to be garbagey
-A night in Wichita at the Hyatt during XMas
-6 nights in Maui in May '14 staying at the new Andaz and flying 1st class on AA
somewhere in there I'll probably use points to drag mrs. dave along on a couple business trips. maybe use some marriott points for a couple nights at the Cosmo in Vegas or something. also have two Hyatt cat. 1-5 awards I have to burn before Mar. 2014 that I don't currently have a spot for. Not wasting them on a Wichita stay.
burning a shitload of southwest and hilton points and using the companion pass to take the whole family to FL for my boy's b-day next week. other than that, nothing special. I never usually plan trips more than a few months out though. thinking about a trip to chicago with some friends in the next couple of months and maybe a trip to napa in the fall. I'm sure I'll head to phoenix and/or LA at some point this winter when I can't stand the cold anymore.
one thing I did do was book friday and saturday night of every single cats home game at the sheraton with spg points. only 3000/night are you rough ridin' kidding? I'll only ever stay one night so I'll end up canceling a lot of them but what a great value!
