Hey Steve and Rick... WHAT THE eff?!

I got denied for a Chase card. I've never had credit in my life and just graduated college with a good job. Do they not take into account good looks or charm or something? This is bullshit!

Tell them you have never paid anything late and would accept a low limit and high interest rate because you want to build your credit.

Hey Steve, thanks. That's what I tried with Kara TotalBitchOfACreditAnalyst this morning. She said due to my "lack of revolving credit history" and the fact that only my credit history she is only seeing my student loans, she couldn't approve me. I asked if she could give me a lower limit because I had never missed a payment and wanted to build credit and she said unfortunately its a simple yes or no with no negotiating. That's gotta be a lie, right?

Should I call again this afternoon and try to speak with someone who has a soul? I didn't want to call right back because I don't know if they keep records of who calls.

No, they are probably just strict about this. Sucks. This is another reason every college student should have at least one garbage capital one card or something. See if you can get that venture card.

Yes, someone go back through this thread and find the best hotel card deal right now TIA. I am absolutely drowning in airline miles so I need to switch to a hotel card for a year or so.

when did chase get so stingy? post financial crisis? they issued my first credit card back when I was 19. that was in 06...all I had on my credit report at the time was a car loan from high school.

If I apply for the SW card to get the 50K points and put Gooch's rewards number on the application, is that really going to work or are they going to say "Hey you can't put your points on someone else's rewards card."?

Will probably give you your own RR number. They didn't ask for my RR number when applying, they either give you a new one if you dont have one or attach your pre-established number.

Don't fill out the application, just take a big sharpie and write "POP OFF, BITCH" on it and mail it in.

That's what I think about the SW card.

got the fairmont rewards coupon thingy for 2 free nights to anywhere with 2 free breakfasts. Well guess rough ridin' what? The savoy in London says they don't accept it except for the winter?! wtf? that wasn't in the small print, trim warm up the lawsuit papers! steve dave any ideas?

Hyatt tried to pull this on me when I wanted to stay the at the Andaz San Diego on New Year's Eve with my chase free nights. You have to PI them, it took almost 30 minutes.

If you are ordering flowers for valentines day you should probably do so through a miles shopping portal. I'm getting like 5k extra United miles for ordering flowers I was going to order anyway. The United portal has 30 miles per $ spent at FTD and almost all the different programs have pretty high bonuses on flower purchases.
