On October 1, your Hyatt Credit Card will offer
brand new features that will make your purchases and
Hyatt stays even more rewarding.

Earn 2 points for every $1 spent at restaurants,
on airline tickets when purchased directly from the airline,
and at car rental agencies.

Earn and maintain Diamond status more easily
by using your Hyatt Credit Card. We'll give you credit
towards Diamond status when you spend:

$20,000 annually = 2 stay / 5 night credits
$40,000 annually = an additional 3 stay / 5 night credits

yeah, it kind of had to match the sapphire on that spend stuff.  you earned more hyatt points by using the sapphire than the actual hyatt card.

At least one time before, they did a 3-month thing where if you spent so much they'd give some bonus points but as it stands I only use my Hyatt card at the Hyatt, and this won't change that.

anyone doing the 70k Delta Amex deal?  I don't really fly Delta very much.  people mock their miles alot because of award availability but I don't have a lot of personal experience in the last few years.  flew an award route years ago to Napa but don't recall how hard it was to get tickets.  apparently they also charge high fuel charges similar to BA on international routes.  plus $5k spend in 6 months.  :dunno:

I totally mumped up the Delta AMEX.  Got it at 30K bonus when I had no plans to get that surpass.  Then the delta amex and surpass amex prevented me from getting the spg amex within that same month.  :flush:

If it is still going in a month or so, when I'm done with our 4 AA cards, I am going to do it.

I'm going to do a churn in early October for both SW cards (so I can get the companion pass early next year), the US airways, and the virgin Atlantic so the delta is a no go for me

Delta is terrible unless you book at the last minute and spend way more than everyone else on the plane.  Unless you do that, you will be sitting in the back middle seat.
