pretty sure you are supposed to hold onto it for awhile, otherwise they'll think you're a churner or something.

Got my 50K Southwest points banked this week from the RR Premier card.    Vegas in March for the first weekend of the NCAA, here we come. 

Also met the spend for one of the Citi AA cards this week, now just waiting for those first 75k bonus points to bank.  Been a solid week so far.

We got a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom 1,500 sq. ft suite for $900 for three nights.  $225 per sd/sdbro.  you can't find that deal at aldis bayareacat.

So I called to cancel my Citi AA card a couple months ago and they told me they'd waive the $85 fee if I made 5 purchases in 3 months. I said yes thinking I wouldn't have another Citi deal anytime soon and might have some use for the card in the next year. I made 5 very small purchases and then I noticed they charged me the $85 yearly fee. I contacted them and they said I'd have to pay the fee or cancel. I said cancel and they credited me $85. Shortly after that I got another $85 credit. Seemingly for making the 5 purchases. I kept checking my account and the $85 credit wasn't going away, but my account was closed so I figured I'd just have to wait and see if they sent me a check. Yesterday I got a check for $85. <- me to the bank

yeah, but it's not much better.  25k first purchase, 5k for adding another card user and 10k for spending $25k in some time period that I didn't even pay attention to because I wasn't going to be spending $25k on a stupid airline card.  30k is still better than the usual 25k signup but not much.  I got the old United card when it was 50k.  Been a real drought of good bonus offers lately (other than the Sapphire and AA cards).  People are rumoring that most of the new good offers will have very high spend requirements because the card companies are becoming slightly less Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) than they used to be (citi is still very, very Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)....which is nice)
