Staying at Westwood W Sunday Monday and Tuesday is free!  Good joint?

250 SPG for checking into a spg property on facebook or foursquare.  appears you can do both for 500.  terms say you have to have a reservation at the property to get the points but I'm curious how well they police that.  I wish there was an spg property close to my house so I could try it.

if someone already has one of these, should they cancel it immediately?

may be too late.  that said, it may be some sort of new United/Continental merger card or something.  I would be curious if you could have both.  I am just speculating based on some stuff that was being said on ft.

Well, after the $4500 in required spend you are almost to 3 nights in Maui or Honolulu.  5 nights would be 48k as the fifth night is free.  This is what we did when we went to Maui recently.  30k is also enough for 10 nights at the Sheraton we stayed at in OKC.  It could also be transfered to almost any airline and usually get you a 5k bonus so you are looking at about 40k airline miles in whatever program you want.  Really a ton of different options with SPG points which is why I love them.  They don't have as many locations as Marriott or Hilton though.

I got the same offer, but I noticed today when I logged into my account that there was an offer at the bottom to send a referral to up to 10 people. Each approval is worth 10k points instead of the normal 5k. Don't know what the card offer is for the referred person, but who cares. :kstategrad:

The new United card is a POS.  Max's out at 40k UA and that's after $25k in spend.  It's 30K UA otherwise.  I got 50K UA a year ago with very limited spend.

deal is over?   The referral you sent me was 10k points for swipe, 15k after spending 15k over 6 months.

Say you have a wedding in Colorado Springs Sep. 10.  Say you are checking each of your hotel programs for good redemption opportunities for your dates.  say you found out that you can book the Crowne Plaza Colorado Springs for 5k a night because it is a points break hotel during the three nights you are there.  you get pretty rough ridin' excited...right?

oh man. great feeling. I got a brand new cat2 spg aloft in downtown Dallas for a wedding a month before it moved to cat3 and felt just great about it. only possible bummer is that if it is the one by the airport, then you are kind of a drive from the nice/fun parts of the springs. whatever though. soak in in and be proud. three nights for 15k. wow.

Also, if anyone is having problems getting the referal link to work (like me) for the 30k deal they are supposedly going to make the deal public for everyone on the 26th so you can just sign up then for the 30K SPG with $4500 spend.

Question for sd, rd, or other travel experts.  When applying for the 75k AA business visa, is there anything special I need to know?  Can I use the same address as I did for my personal card?  I was just approved for the AA 75k personal card today (4000 spend).
